MLB Betting Guide for July 19: Baseball’s Second-Half Begins

The second-half MLB season is beginning tonight with a 14-game slate, so let’s dive into everything you need to know for the night ahead.

We have a lone afternoon game today as the Chicago Cubs and Arizona Diamondbacks will face off in Wrigley, but as both teams have underwhelmed this season, do we have either them making the NL playoff field by season’s end?

Later on, the Pittsburgh Pirates will host the Philadelphia Phillies in a cross-state match up as the Phils aim to continue their first-half dominance with Aaron Nola taking the mound. Additionally, the New York Yankees will look to climb back to the top of the AL leaderboard as they face the Tampa Bay Rays, while the Baltimore Orioles will face off against the Texas Rangers.

We’ll keep an eye on the New York Mets especially as they’ve played their way into making a run at an NL Wild Card spot, and they’ll have a great opportunity to stack wins in their weekend set with the Miami Marlins. Plus, check out interesting matchups featuring the St. Louis Cardinals and Atlanta Braves down south as well as the Cleveland Guardians–San Diego Padres showdown in Northeast Ohio.

To close out the night, we’ll focus in on a fun matchup in Southern California as the Los Angeles Dodgers will welcome the Boston Red Sox to town, so we worked up a +1100 ultimate same-game parlay.
