MLB Betting Guide for June 28: Are Red Sox & Padres Contenders?

All 30 MLB teams are set to take the field today as we head into the weekend, so let’s examine everything that the weekend may bring.

Kicking off the night, the Philadelphia Phillies will host the Miami Marlins as they are in sole possession of the best record in all of baseball, even after despite their ugly loss last night. Additionally, two of the AL’s best squads have critical matchups ahead, with the Baltimore Orioles hosting the Texas Rangers and the New York Yankees facing the Toronto Blue Jays north of the border.

Plus, we have an intriguing weekend set in Queens as the New York Mets and Houston Astros, just as the Mets are playing their best baseball of the entire season, and the Astros are on a seven-game winning streak of their own. Who would have thought this would be a matchup between two of baseball’s hottest clubs?

We’re also keeping an eye on the Boston Red Sox as they look to further advance their AL wild card big against the San Diego Padres this weekend, who, too, are stuck in the middle and could use some direction ahead of trading season. The Atlanta Braves could also use a big weekend against the Pittsburgh Pirates after they dropped three of their last four games.

Closing out the night, we’ll have our eyes on an intriguing duel in the Pacific Northwest. The Seattle Mariners will face the Minnesota Twins, while the San Francisco Giants will host the Los Angeles Dodgers in a classic rivalry.
