MLB Betting Guide for June 5: What Are Dodgers Lacking?

All 30 MLB teams are in action today, so let’s get into everything you need to know for the day ahead.

The afternoon slate will be kicked off in Fenway as the Boston Red Sox will host the Atlanta Braves after the Braves flexed their offensive might last night in an 8-3 victory. Later on, the Philadelphia Phillies will aim to sweep the Milwaukee Brewers as Aaron Nola will take the ball for the Phils.

In the night slate, the Kansas City Royals and Cleveland Guardians will meet again after putting together an offensive thriller last night. At the same time, the New York Yankees will look to keep up their dominance against the Minnesota Twins.

Additionally, Paul Skenes will take the mound for the Pittsburgh Pirates as he is set to face his toughest opponent yet in the Los Angeles Dodgers. However, looking at the Dodgers of late, it’s fair to say that they don’t boast the strength that many anticipated, capped off by their being shut out last night by the Pirates. It’s becoming increasingly clear that Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani, and Freddie Freeman can’t carry this team every single night, so for their sakes, hopefully, it’s only a matter of time before they add another bat or two into the mix.
