MLB Betting Guide for May 2: AL East Afternoon Action

We have a six-game MLB slate today, so let’s dive into all the action.

Five of the six games are set to begin in the afternoon; two games in particular have our attention. First, the Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees will meet for the final game of their four-game series with the O’s holding a 2-1 series lead. With the AL East lead hanging in the balance today, you can’t ask for a better afternoon baseball game than this. 

Additionally, we’ll have our eyes on Fenway Park as the Boston Red Sox look to extend their four-game win streak against the San Francisco Giants. The Red Sox have become the forgotten team in the AL East, understandably so. Still, their offense and pitching staff are both exceeding expectations, and it’s starting to seem like this roster will be able to compete for an AL playoff spot.

The lone game tonight will feature the Houston Astros and Cleveland Guardians in a rubber match. Both teams appear to be heading in completely opposite directions.
