The NL Wild Card race is still yet to be decided, and we have an epic series continuing tonight to figure out the playoff field as the Atlanta Braves host the New York Mets in NL East action. The Mets are currently sitting in the five-seed, but the Braves are just a game back of the Mets after they took the series opener last night. The Arizona Diamondbacks are sandwiched between them in the six-seed. The Braves are putting their ace on the mound tonight in Chris Sale, so we worked up an ultimate same-game parlay for what should be an incredible game.
Valued at +1000, let’s ride!
Leg 1: Braves ML
Chris Sale has been the best starting pitcher in the NL all season long, and he’s dominated September thus far with a 1.13 ERA over four starts. The Braves have won each of his last eight starts, and on the other side, the Mets have lost three straight games with David Peterson on the mound. The presumptive NL Cy Young deserves our trust!
Leg 2: Chris Sale 7+ Strikeouts
Chris Sale has struck out at least seven batters in just five of his last nine starts, but we believe that the atmosphere and importance tonight will be enough to get him over the hump. In his only other game against the Mets this year, Sale struck out nine across seven and a third. We’ll hope for a repeat outing tonight.
Leg 3: Michael Harris II 2+ Total Bases
Michael Harris II is on an absolute tear right now as he’s recorded at least two total bases in seven straight games, six of which are multi-hit games. Overall, he’s reached this mark in 11 of his 13 games and has hit left-handed pitchers better than righties throughout the year, giving him an optimal matchup against the left-handed Peterson. Trust the hot bat!

Leg 4: Marcell Ozuna 1+ Hit
Marcell Ozuna has been one of baseball’s most potent hitters all season, and he’s currently riding a seven-game hitting streak with a .329 September batting average. That’s good enough for us!
Leg 5: Francisco Lindor 1+ Hit
To close out our parlay, we’ll count on Francisco Lindor’s expected return to the lineup tonight to be worth at least a hit. He’s posted a .412 batting average across 34 at-bats against Sale. Few people, if any, have more success against Sale than Lindor, so we’ll look for him to poke in some meaningless single to cash this leg.
