The Philadelphia Phillies are now back on top of the MLB standings, and they’ll have a tough matchup tonight at home against the Tampa Bay Rays, prompting us to work up an ultimate same-game parlay for the action.
Valued at +1250, let’s ride!
Leg 1: Phillies ML
The Phillies enter tonight as the better team, playing in their home ballpark fresh off an emotional win last night. This team rides the momentum wave more than most other teams, so we expect them to be juiced up after last night’s walk-off. They’ll also have the pitching advantage, with Ranger Suarez taking the mound as Taj Bradley has struggled mightily across his previous seven starts. We have no reason not to expect the Phils to pull out this win.
Leg 2: Ranger Suarez 5+ Strikeouts
Ranger Suarez has struck out at least five batters in two of his three starts since returning from injury. He’ll now face a Rays’ offense that’s struck out at the seventh-highest rate in baseball across the past two weeks. The only concern is that Ranger has been on roughly a 70-80 pitch limit since returning from the IL, but it’s fair to expect Ranger to touch the 90-pitch mark tonight.
Leg 3: Bryce Harper 2+ Total Bases
In the bottom of the ninth inning last night, Bryce Harper led off the inning in a tied game and belted a ball off the wall. The problem? He stood in the box and watched the ball, thinking it was a home run, only causing him to get a single out of the hit even though it should have been a stand-up double. Luckily, the Phils still pulled out the win, but Bryce was buried by many for his lack of hustle on the play and took accountability for his mistake postgame. He’ll want to right the wrong tonight, so we’ll expect a big night out of him, giving us confidence in him recording at least two total bases.

Leg 4: Kyle Schwarber 1+ Hit
Kyle Schwarber is priced at just -155 to get a hit tonight, but he sports a .400 batting average in September, with a hit in each of the eight games. When Schwarber is hot, he’s blazing hot, so we’ll take the value here and boost our parlay’s value by touting him to record a hit.
Leg 5: Bryson Stott 1+ Hit
To keep this leg simple, Bryson Stott enters tonight on a five-game hitting streak, so we like his chances of maintaining a hot bat against the struggling Taj Bradley.
Leg 6: Junior Caminero 1+ Hit
On the Rays’ side, we’ll look to their young star, Junior Caminero, to get a hit tonight. He’s only been in the majors for about a month, but he’s already shown many flashes of being an elite hitter. After going hitless last night, we expect him to put a ball in play tonight, as he’s only gone consecutive games without a hit once since being called up.
