MLB SGP: +1325 San Diego Padres vs. Los Angeles Dodgers

We have a huge NL West battle tonight in Southern California. The division-leading Los Angeles Dodgers will host the San Diego Padres, and the Dodgers’ lead in the division has shrunk to just three games. Tonight will be a fun one, so we worked up an ultimate same-game parlay for the action.
Valued at +1325, let’s ride!
Leg 1: Padres ML
Amidst all the hype around the Dodgers in recent weeks as Shohei Ohtani chased history, the Padres have quietly been playing elite baseball, positioning themselves within three games of LA for the NL West. Essentially, the Padres control their destiny, and I expect them to walk into Dodger Stadium determined. Since starting the season 50-50, this squad has gone 40-16, and we’re getting them at plus-money tonight on the money line as they will also have the better pitcher on the mound in Michael King. As great as the Dodgers are, the Padres have been the better baseball team lately, so we’ll kick off our parlay expecting the road team to pull this one out.
Leg 2: Michael King 5+ Strikeouts
Michael King has struck out at least five batters in 16 of his last 17 starts. Essentially, the Padres won’t win unless they get a solid outing from King that includes at least five strikeouts.
Leg 3: Fernando Tatis Jr. 2+ Total Bases
Fernando Tatis Jr. has been a machine lately, as he’s recorded at least two total bases in ten of his last eleven games. What more is there to ask for?
Leg 4: Jackson Merrill 2+ Total Bases
To carry on with the hopeful Padres’ offensive explosion, we’ll target potential NL ROY Jackson Merrill to record at least two total bases as he has done in six of his last nine games. Merrill has posted a .328 batting average on the road compared to just .258 at home, so we hope that the great atmosphere in Dodger Stadium tonight will propel him to dominate.

Leg 5: Luis Arraez 1+ Hit
Luis Arraez has had a hit in 16 of his last 18 games and owns a .370 batting average on the road this season. That’s good enough for us!
Leg 6: Shohei Ohtani 1+ Hit
To close out our parlay, we’ll hope that Shohei Ohtani’s impact on tonight’s game is minimal. We’re playing him to get at least a hit since he is blazing hot right now with his .354 batting average in September. Plus, he’s done well in his career against Michael King, going 5-12 at the plate against him.
