Leg 1: Red Sox ML
The Red Sox have won eight of their last ten games compared to the Blue Jays, having won just three of their last ten. Tonight, Kutter Crawford should be able to give the Red Sox around six reliable innings, whereas there is a good chance that the Red Sox’s bats can jump on Yariel Rodriguez. After the Blue Jays took down the Red Sox last night, nothing about the Blue Jays’ body of work this season gives me the confidence that they can be consistent enough to win consecutive games against a superior team, so we’ll back the Red Sox to kick off our parlay relatively comfortably.
Leg 2: Kutter Crawford 5+ Strikeouts
Kutter Crawford has struck out at least five batters in 13 of 15 starts this season. More importantly, he’s gone at least six innings in nine of his last eleven starts, showcasing his longevity on a nightly basis. The Blue Jays as a team strike out only around a league-average clip, so we can count on Crawford’s reliability and consistency here to get us at least five Ks.
Leg 3: Jarren Duran 2+ Total Bases
Jarren Duran has had a pretty awesome June at the plate, sporting a .375 batting average. We’ll look for him to record at least two total bases tonight, as he’s accomplished in 14 of 22 games this month, and Yariel Rodriguez isn’t someone we’re worried about too much as an opposing pitcher.
Leg 4: Rafael Devers 1+ Hit
Rafael Devers has had at least a single hit in 17 of his last 22 games and has an optimal matchup tonight by facing a righty in Rodriguez in his home ballpark. Coming off a loss last night, we’ll need Devers to give us something if we expect the Red Sox to pull out the win.
Leg 5: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 2+ Total Bases
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has gone 4-9 in his career against Kutter Crawford, and he’s recorded at least two total bases in four of his last five games. While we’re fading the Blue Jays across the board tonight, Vlad Jr. has been reliable enough this season for us to trust him in this spot against a pitcher he has succeeded against.
