Leg 1: Nestor Cortes 5+ Strikeouts
Nestor Cortes has already faced the Rays twice this season, and he struck out nine batters across seven innings in the first outing, followed by five strikeouts across five-plus innings of work in the second game. The Rays continue to strike out at an above-average rate on the season, so we’ll have a ton of confidence in Nestor’s ability to get us five strikeouts.
Leg 2: Aaron Judge 1+ Hit
Aaron Judge isn’t having the best start to July, but two things are happening tonight. One, he’s beyond due, and two, the Yankees need to get this series win tonight badly to boast the morale of a collapsing locker room that’s getting stuck in a slump. Shane Baz let up seven hits in his only appearance of the year, so expect one of those seven to be from Judge’s bat.
Leg 3: Juan Soto 1+ Hit
Like the rest of the Yankees, Juan Soto’s production has dipped lately, giving us a discount on him to record a hit at -175. Sometimes, you have to trust one of the most talented hitters to find a way to get his bat on the ball at a great price. That’s precisely where our head is at here.
Leg 4: Shane Baz 5+ Strikeouts
Shane Baz only has one start this season after having Tommy John and missing all last season and the beginning of this year. Still, he struck out six across six innings in that one start. Before his injury, he was known as a strikeout guy, so expect him to navigate his way to five strikeouts if he is in the game long enough.
Leg 5: Randy Arozarena 1+ Hit
Despite an embarrassingly bad start to the season, Randy Arozarena has quietly been producing lately. He has a .284 batting average since the start of June. More recently, though, he’s had a hit in ten of his last eleven games. What else is there to ask for?
Leg 6: Isaac Paredes 1+ Hit
To close out our parlay, we’ll target Isaac Paredes to get us a hit, as he’s gone 6-18 in his career against Cortes and is batting .308 on the season against left-handed pitching overall. Plus, given some recent struggles, he’s due.
