Miami Heat
Like Orlando, Miami was elite defensively but struggled on offense, averaging the fifth-fewest points per game. After striking out on Damian Lillard last offseason, Heat president Pat Riley could take another swing at a big-time scorer.
Zach LaVine on the Move?
As the Chicago Bulls contemplate a potential rebuild, the future of the team's two-time All-Star Zach LaVine has come into focus. LaVine, who underwent right foot surgery in February, was limited to just 25 games this season - the second year of a five-year $215 million max contract inked in 2022. When healthy, the 29-year-old is one of the most dynamic scorers in the game and could fetch Chicago an intriguing trade package if Bulls brass opts to go that route. To that end, here are five organizations poised to inquire about LaVine's availability.
Oklahoma City Thunder
Josh Giddey's offensive struggles could prompt Oklahoma City Thunder general manager Sam Presti, with his boatload of draft capital, to upgrade the shooting guard position. OKC was the youngest No. 1 seed in league history before falling victim to the Dallas Mavericks in the second round of the postseason. Adding a player of LaVine's caliber to pair with MVP runner-up Shai Gilgeous-Alexander might be what the organization needs to reach the next level.
Los Angeles Lakers
The Lakers need a consistent outside scoring threat to complement the paint-oriented attack of superstars LeBron James (assuming he remains in LA) and Anthony Davis. Averaging 24.2 PPG during his time in the Windy City, LaVine fits the bill. More importantly, he could relieve some pressure off LA's duo, particularly James, who will turn 40 in December.

Philadelphia 76ers
Tyrese Maxey took a massive step forward in Year 4, filling the void left by the departed James Harden and emerging as a viable second star alongside Joel Embiid. Maxey, a restricted free agent, is widely expected to remain in Philly. That said, his presence is likely insufficient as Embiid continues dealing with nagging injuries and recently turned 30. A third scoring option thus appears to be an area of need if the Sixers are to get over the hump.
Orlando Magic
The Magic surprised many this season. Their 47 wins were the franchise's most since 2010-11. Orlando was bolstered by its top-five defense but ranked 24th in offense, including last in three-pointers made per game. While the team could opt to bank on further development from youngsters Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner, and Jalen Suggs, LaVine's scoring prowess would immediately improve the overall balance of the roster.
