76ers vs Knicks Wednesday Prediction | NBA Picks Today, Best Bets

On Wednesday night, the Philadelphia 76ers hit the road for a conference showdown against the New York Knicks. Philadelphia enters this matchup looking to snap an eight-game losing streak, while the Knicks hope to end their two-game losing skid.

With both teams dealing with struggles over the recent stretch, expect both sides to play with some sense of desperation as New York begins to lose ground in the Eastern Conference standings and the Sixers’ playoff hopes begin to slip away.

76ers vs. Knicks Best Bet: Knicks -10

The Knicks’ two-game losing streak comes against two of the best teams in the league, with losses to the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics. Although it’s disappointing for New York to drop the ball in back-to-back games against their biggest competition in the East, the time for concern can be rescheduled, considering who the opponents were. Now, against a Sixers team in a much worse spot than the Knicks, Tom Thibodeau’s squad has a good chance to bounce back on Wednesday. Considering the Knicks have beaten Philadelphia in each of the two games they’ve played this season, I’ll take the odds New York wins big as they bounce back in front of their fans at Madison Square Garden.

76ers vs. Knicks Best Total Bet: Under 230

Both teams have shown flashes of scoring at a high rate this season, but over their recent struggles, each squad has had uncharacteristic outings. Nonetheless, with the Knicks averaging 117.9 points per game and the 76ers following a bit behind, averaging 108.9 points per game, it wouldn’t be a shock to see this game get close to the 230-point set total. However, considering how shorthanded the 76ers are, New York could find themselves with a comfortable lead at some point. If they can prevent Philly from making a late run, this should be a one-sided win, with a final score of 118-104 being a realistic outcome.

76ers Best Player Bet: Tyrese Maxey 30+ Points +106

Tyrese Maxey has been arguably the lone bright spot for the 76ers this season, averaging a career-high 27.1 points per game. The Kentucky product has emerged as a top guard in the league, and oftentimes, he’s the driving reason for Philadelphia staying in games they have no business being in. With the Sixers expected to be shorthanded on Wednesday, they’ll likely encourage the young playmaker to be aggressive on the offensive side of the court. With five 30+ point games in February, a Primetime game in New York seems like the perfect scenario for him to add another big game to his resume.

Knicks Best Player Bet: Jalen Brunson 3+ Made Threes +138

Jalen Brunson has continued his impressive play for the Knicks despite their two-game losing streak. However, he hasn’t been as dominant on the offensive side of the ball lately, at least not to the high standards he placed upon himself. Brunson seems due for a big game soon, and if he sees one shot go in from beyond the arc, the star guard can get hot quickly. That said, I like the odds that Brunson has a high-scoring game in this matchup, resulting from a big night from behind the three-point line. Not to mention, he’s coming off a game in Boston where he drained four threes.
