Best NBA Betting Picks for Sunday: 3-Game Parlay Predictions
OKC Thunder vs San Antonio Spurs
- Location: Frost Bank Center (San Ant., TX)
- Where to Watch: ESPN, FDSSW, FDSOK
- Time: 7:00 p.m. ET
- Spread: Thunder -13 | Total: 237
- Moneyline: Thunder -750/Spurs +530
Leg 1: Over 237
Defense will be an afterthought when the Oklahoma City Thunder travel to the Lone Star State to face the San Antonio Spurs. Both teams have some of the most reliable ‘over’ teams in the league, and we’re betting that trend persists at the Frost Bank Center.
While the Spurs have been sliding without Victor Wembanyama, they showed signs of snapping out of their funk last time out. San Antonio dropped 130 against the Memphis Grizzlies on 52.1% shooting. That was their first above-average shooting performance since February 21 and a sign of things to come against the Thunder.
As usual, OKC continues to take to the court with total disregard for low-scoring basketball. The Thunder have gone over in five straight, emphasizing efficiency on their opponents’ end. Over that five-game sample, the Western Conference leaders are averaging 130.4 points per game. However, they’ve also loosened their defensive standards. Four of their five opponents have gone north of 119 points for an average game score of 250.6.
This should end up being one of the most entertaining contests of the evening. San Antonio should find its rhythm early, going shot-for-shot with the Thunder. In the end, we’re expecting this one to sail over 237.
New Orleans Pelicans vs Utah Jazz
- Location: Delta Center (Salt Lake City, UT)
- Where to Watch: ROOT Sports NW
- Time: 8:00 p.m. ET
- Spread: Pelicans -7.5 | Total: 230.5
- Moneyline: Pelicans -300/Jazz +245
Leg 2: Jazz Moneyline +245
Far from the most glamorous matchup on the board, there’s an intriguing betting opportunity in this Western Conference tilt. The New Orleans Pelicans enter Sunday’s test versus the Utah Jazz as prohibitive -7.5 chalk. Still, we see an edge in backing the underdog Jazz in this spot.
Neither team pushes the pace, prioritizing open looks over fast breaks. In that regard, the Jazz have a substantive advantage. Utah is far superior from range, averaging 14.0 three-pointers per game on 35.6% shooting. Conversely, the Pelicans are 34.8% from beyond the arc, yielding 12.2 threes per game. Those benchmarks contribute a more efficient 53.9% effective field goals percentage from Utah, compared to 51.6% from the Pels.
Moreover, New Orleans doesn’t travel well. The Southwest Division basement dwellers are a miserable 5-25 on the road this season. They’re also 1-4 straight up in their last five games as road favorites.
The Pelicans don’t respond well on the road, and those issues could be compounded as they play their third straight game as the visitors. More efficient shooting should be the difference, as the Jazz cash as +245 moneyline underdogs at home.

Minnesota T-Wolves vs Phoenix Suns
- Location: PHX Arena (Phoenix, AZ)
- Where to Watch: ESPN, FanDuel Sports
- Time: 9:30 p.m. ET
- Spread: Suns -1.5 | Total: 231.5
- Moneyline: Suns -126/Timberwolves +108
Leg 3: Suns -1.5
The Phoenix Suns are running out of time to move up the standings. They sit 11th in the Western Conference, four wins back of the Dallas Mavericks and Minnesota Timberwolves, for one of the final two Play-In spots. They can bolster their postseason chances with a strong showing against the T-Wolves at home.
Phoenix should be on the rise. This is the seventh straight game in which the Suns have been favored, yet they only have two wins for their efforts. We’ve seen more resilient offensive efforts from the Suns lately. They’re averaging 129.7 points per game over their last three, eclipsing 125 in all but one of those contests. A similar effort is expected against the defensively compromised Timberwolves.
Minnesota has hit a snag on its end. Four of their last five opponents have exceeded 117 points, resulting in an inflated average of 121.4 points per game. Not surprisingly, that has resulted in just one win across the five-game sample. Now playing their fourth straight game on the road, including their third game in four nights, we’re anticipating another flat defensive effort.
This is an ideal spot to get the Suns at a discounted rate. They wield an offensive advantage over the road-weary Timberwolves and should have no problem covering -1.5 at home.
