7:00 p.m. ET – Cleveland at Boston
Spread: Boston (-11.5) | Moneyline: | Total: 208
Where to Watch: TNT | Location: TD Garden
The Boston Celtics are heavy favorites entering the second-round series against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Boston is a whopping -3500 to win the series and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. The series begins on Tuesday night with the Celtics hosting the Cavaliers. The home team tips off as 11.5-point favorites, with a point total of 208 set for the game.
Boston is very capable of turning up the defensive intensity, and they’ll likely throw multiple people at Cavaliers’ star Donovan Mitchell to slow him down. Expect forwards Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown to take turns defending Mitchell in addition to Jrue Holiday. Despite that defensive length and the likelihood that Cleveland will try to squeeze this game and keep the possessions as low as possible, the SportsGrid model has a lean to the over.
With a two-star play, SportsGrid has this game just squeaking over and finishing with 209 points.

9:30 p.m. ET – Dallas at Oklahoma City
Spread: Oklahoma City (+3.5) | Moneyline: | Total: 218
Where to Watch: TNT | Location: Paycom Center
The Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks tip off a highly anticipated conference semifinal series with game one tonight in Oklahoma City. Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic lead the Dallas Mavericks against the Western Conference’s No. 1 seed led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Both teams are loaded with offensive firepower, and both finished the regular season in the top ten in offensive efficiency. In fact, the Oklahoma City Thunder were the top offensive team in the Western Conference.
Dallas will be without versatile forward Maxi Kleber for this series and will have to lean more on P.J. Washington and Daniel Gafford, while Kyrie Irving will have to try to slow down SGA. Dallas’ defense has improved significantly over the past couple of months, but the SportsGrid model still leans over for this game, placing a two-star projection on this game, going over the posted total of 218.
SportsGrid’s Bets: Over 218 | SportsGrid Projections: 2-star
