This matchup has turned into quite the rivalry in the Western Conference dating back to last year’s playoff series. Each squad seems to put forth their best effort when they play one another, which turns this matchup into a must-watch game. It’s hard for a team to completely sweep another in a season series, but this year, the Timberwolves seem to be the Nuggets’ kryptonite. With two out of three of Minnesota’s wins against Denver coming by 20+ points, Chris Finch’s squad appears to have a bulletproof game plan against Michael Malone and the Nuggets. However, I don’t see Minnesota blowing out the Nuggets again. I think there’s value in the +110 moneyline for the Timberwolves to steal a win on the road, especially considering Denver’s laundry list of an injury report.

In two of the three matchups this season, the final score exceeded the 232.5 point set total. There’s no doubt that both teams have the firepower to turn this game into an offensive shootout, and assuming the fourth and final game of the season series ends in a bang, I like the odds that this game surpasses the set total once again. A final score of 124-119 seems like a realistic outcome.

Anthony Edwards has been the driving force behind the Timberwolves’ midseason turnaround, averaging 27.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.6 assists. The Georgia product always seems to rise to the challenge in big games, especially against the Nuggets. If the Timberwolves hope to steal a win in Ball Arena for the second time this season, they’ll need a big game from their star guard. I expect him to deliver on Tuesday night.

Jamal Murray is arguably the biggest X-Factor for the Nuggets on any given night. The versatile guard is a game changer when his shot is falling because it completely opens up the offense for Denver when opposing defenses have to account for his ability to be a willing scorer and an underrated facilitator.
