Warriors vs Timberwolves Prediction, Props, and Best Bets NBA Game 2

The Golden State Warriors are set for a showdown with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday night in Game 2 of this Western Conference Semifinals series. In Game 1, Golden State stole homecourt advantage from the T-Wolves with a double-digit win, even with Stephen Curry sidelined. With the Warriors set to be without their star guard again tonight, they’ll look to defy the odds again and steal both games on the road. However, Chris Finch’s squad will do everything they can to even the series at 1-1 before making the trip to the West Coast.

Warriors vs Timberwolves Best Bet: Warriors +10.5
Golden State enters this matchup as a double-digit underdog, and in large part, it’s due to Curry’s injury news. However, Steve Kerr’s squad already proved in Game 1 that they have what it takes to keep pace with the Timberwolves, and keep this battle close courtesy of their defensive versatility and ability to match up well with Minnesota. Although the T-Wolves may find a way to win tonight, I like the chances of the Dubs keeping it close.
Warriors vs Timberwolves Best Total Bet: Over 201.5
In Game 1, neither of these squads was able to break the 100-point mark, finishing with a final score of 99-88. Obviously, that doesn’t bode well for picking the over in Game 2, but considering how much of an outlier game that is for today’s NBA, it’s hard to imagine that this game finishes with a similar total score. A final score of 109-103 seems realistic for Thursday’s battle.

Warriors Best Player Bet: Buddy Hield 4+ Threes Made +106
With Curry injured, the Warriors will have to look elsewhere for a boost on offense. Considering how well Buddy Hield has played over his last two games, he seems like the player who could get the nod for an increased role on offense. The Oklahoma product has finished with 4+ threes in each of the last two games, and if he continues to shoot confidently, his 37% shooting from downtown gives me faith he’ll have another big performance tonight.
Timberwolves Best Player Bet: Anthony Edwards 30+ Points +132
Like the rest of the Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards struggled in Game 1, specifically in the first half, where Minnesota scored only 33 total points. Despite that, the versatile guard finished the game with 23 points after providing a spark for his team in the second half. With his team down 1-0 at home, this seems like the perfect scenario for Edwards to put together a monster performance. Give me Edwards to finish with 30+ points on Thursday.
