The college football season continues with Week 6 action. What SEC bets should you make for the sixth week of action? The SEC has plenty of contenders looking to make their mark for the National Championship in 2024, highlighted by Georgia, Texas, Alabama, and Ole Miss. The journey for these powerhouse programs continues in Week 6. Let’s dive in.
We’ll highlight our weekly SEC best bets below and keep track of our betting record throughout the season. Good luck!
Season Record: 10-6-0

SEC Play (1 Unit)
UCF Knights vs Florida Gators
Spread: Knights -2.5 (-112) | Gators +2.5 (-108)
Moneyline: Knights -134 | Gators +112
Total: OVER 61.5 (-105) | UNDER 61.5 (-115)
After a letdown from the UCF Knights against the Colorado Buffaloes in Week 4, they’ll be tasked with visiting the Florida Gators in Week 5 after a bye week. The Gators aren’t a team we’ve been shy about criticizing this season. The program has been a mess in recent memory, and if they aren’t careful, they could lose five-star quarterback DJ Lagway to the transfer portal. Whatever this two-quarterback system nonsense the Gators have trotted out there must end. Believing in Billy Napier and the Gators gives me a headache, so we won’t do that. This is a great bounce-back spot for the Knights, and we like them to win outright.
Recommended Play: Knights Moneyline (-134)
No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide vs Vanderbilt Commodores
Spread: Crimson Tide -22.5 (-110) | Commodores +22.5 (-110)
Moneyline: Crimson Tide -2500 | Commodores +1100
Total: OVER 55.5 (-110) | UNDER 55.5 (-110)
After a statement victory in Week 5 against the Georgia Bulldogs, the Alabama Crimson Tide are back on the field in Week 6 to take on the Vanderbilt Commodores. The Commodores under Clark Lea have been a surprise this season, at least from a competitive standpoint. Besides a slip-up against Georgia State, the Commodores have won two games and lost a tight one in overtime to Missouri. Those are encouraging signs for this program heading into this home clash against Alabama after a Week 5 bye. The Commodores have been better than expected offensively, and we already know what the Crimson Tide can do with Jalen Milroe at the helm. Part of me wants to take the points at home with Vanderbilt, but instead, we’ll ride with the expectation that there will be plenty of offense in this SEC clash.
Recommended Play: OVER 55.5 (-110)

No. 9 Missouri Tigers vs No. 25 Texas A&M Aggies
Spread: Tigers +2.5 (-110) | Aggies -2.5 (-110)
Moneyline: Tigers +106 | Aggies -128
Total: OVER 48.5 (-106) | UNDER 48.5 (-114)
This game will have plenty of eyeballs in the SEC during Week 6. I’m not overly concerned about who starts at quarterback for the Aggies vs. Missouri. The run game needs to continue finding momentum like it did in Week 5 against Arkansas. Something is off with this Missouri Tigers team, and I can’t pinpoint it. They were almost upset before their bye against Vanderbilt, and they just haven’t looked like the complete team we expected them to be. Don’t get me wrong, they still have weapons that can exploit you. At the same time, I’m more confident in what head coach Mike Elko has done with this defense lately. The Aggies are a team I’m growing more bullish on as the season progresses. The Tigers could make a statement in this clash and come out on top. If the line tells me one thing, the books aren’t confident in them doing that on the road. I’ll ride with the defense I like more and the one that should make the more significant difference in this matchup.
Recommended Play: Aggies Moneyline (-128)
Biggest SEC Play (3 Units)
None in Week 4.
