Anytime Touchdown Bets You Need to Place for NFL Week 1

CeeDee Lamb (+240)
CeeDee Lamb closed out the 2023 regular season with nine straight games with a touchdown. After an offseason of chaos, do you mean to tell me he won’t score a touchdown on Sunday? Come on now; it’s all a part of the storyline! At +110, should Lamb find the endzone on Sunday, we won’t get a better price on him for the rest of the season.
Calvin Ridley (+190)
Many people are buying into what the Tennessee Titans are building, and there are plenty of reasons to be excited about what their offense can do under new head coach Brian Callahan. I’m confident in Callahan’s ability to maximize Will Levis's talent after what he managed with the Bengals backup quarterbacks last season. Levis now has all the pass-catchers he needs at his disposal. Atop that depth chart, Calvin Ridley came over in free agency in a big-money deal to be this team’s WR1, and he reportedly has already built a ton of chemistry with his new quarterback. He’s both a proven red-zone and deep threat, and I’m high on the Titans' chances to put up points against a shaky Bears’ defense. At +190, I love the price I’m getting here.
Tyreek Hill (-110)
We can keep this simple as Tyreek Hill is priced at just -110 to find the endzone in a game with a projected total of nearly 50. You’re not going to find a better value than that!
Anthony Richardson (+120)
You can have Jonathan Taylor all you want, but Anthony Richardson is this team’s No. 1 red-zone threat when on the field. He’s an absolute freight train with the ball in his hands, and Shane Steichen isn’t afraid to draw up design runs for his quarterback in the red zone. While he played just four games in 2023, he ran for four touchdowns, including twice against the Houston Texans in the first quarter, before exiting the game due to injury. This game will have many points, making it hard to believe that Richardson doesn’t take off for the endzone multiple times. At +120, this may be my favorite touchdown prop of the weekend.
Justin Jefferson (+145)
I have more faith in Sam Darnold as the Minnesota Vikings’ starting quarterback than I probably should, and I like them to go into New York and put up some points on the Giants on Sunday. Still, looking at the Vikings’ offensive options, I don’t like Aaron Jones or Ty Chandler against a powerful Giants’ defensive line, and Jordan Addison is banged up entering Sunday. Justin Jefferson will get peppered with targets on Sunday, and frankly, the Giants are incapable of slowing him down. At +145, I don’t know how you can go wrong by sprinkling some coin on this bet.
Diontae Johnson (+330)
Bryce Young quietly had an impressive preseason, and many hope he can turn his career trajectory around in 2024. I’m not afraid of the Saints’ defense, and I trust that Young can deliver a touchdown or two through the air because I don’t want any part of backing Chuba Hubbard on the ground. People may not even realize that Diontae Johnson is on the Panthers, and he’s had a strong training camp with Young. Plenty of people are projecting him to be a PPR monster in fantasy. I’m one of those people, and I can’t believe we’re getting him at +330 to find the endzone on Sunday. This is an easy play for me to make.
Davante Adams (+180)
Listen, I think Gardner Minshew stinks, but luckily, the Chargers' defense also stinks, and Davante Adams has a track record of dominating them. In four games against the Chargers since joining the Raiders, Adams has averaged 124 yards per game with four touchdowns, and we’re getting him at +180 to find the endzone on Sunday. Adams is the only proven entity on the Raiders’ offense, so we’ll treat him as such here.
