Week 12 Monday Night Football features the Harbaugh brothers squaring off. Jim Harbaugh returned to the NFL this year with the Los Angeles Chargers after winning a national championship at Michigan. John Harbaugh has been the head coach of the Ravens since 2008. Both franchises enter Week 12 comfortably inside the AFC playoff picture. After a difficult road loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 11, the Ravens will look to bounce back on the road against the Chargers. The only thing that gives me pause about the Ravens in this matchup is that they struggled against teams that play well in the trenches. That’s the Chargers identity and one of the reasons they’ve gotten off to a strong start. Still, this will be a big test for the Chargers to halt the progress of a lethal offensive duo of Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry. This Ravens offense means business, and it’s hard to see them struggling in back-to-back weeks. I fully expect the Chargers to be in this football game, but the Ravens do too many things well on offense to not come out on top and stay in the running for the AFC North crown.

Ravens vs Chargers Best Bet Total: OVER 50.5 (-110)
It’s not difficult to see both sides having a fairly run-heavy approach in this clash. When these offenses are at their best, they wear down the opposition with their run game, and I expect that will be the theme in this important AFC matchup. There are times when the Chargers are explosive on offense, and the Ravens have been susceptible downfield in the passing game. As much as you have to respect this Chargers defense, the Ravens offense has a different level that LA hasn’t seen very much this year. I can envision a world where running the ball takes its toll in this matchup and limits a high-scoring environment. At the same time, there’s too much offense in this matchup to see it falling short of the total here.
