Brad Marchand +440
The Panthers loaded up on skilled players ahead of the NHL Trade Deadline. While every one of their acquisitions has made the team better, Brad Marchand has emerged as the game-changing forward to spearhead their Stanley Cup aspirations.
The Rat has six points in five Stanley Cup Final games, including two game-winning goals. Measuring his impact on the scoresheet is easy, but more intangibles contribute to Marchand’s rise on the Panthers.
A pace-setter on offense and an emotional leader in the locker room, Marchand has all the makings of a Conn Smythe winner. If he sustains his pace in Game 6, he deserves the 2025 Conn Smythe Trophy.

Conn Smythe Futures Market
Here we are, on the precipice of crowning the Stanley Cup Champions.
At the outset of the Stanley Cup Final, the Florida Panthers had several contenders in the mix for this year’s Conn Smythe Trophy. However, that field has quickly eroded into two, maybe three, top contenders.
Meanwhile, the award could only go to one of two players for the Edmonton Oilers.
Let’s take a look at who is still in the running to capture the 2025 Conn Smythe Trophy!
Sergei Bobrovsky +11000
It’s impossible to rationalize how far Sergei Bobrovsky's Conn Smythe price has fallen. When this series started, he was priced as one of the frontrunners. Five games and countless game-changing saves later, Bobrovsky’s odds have plummeted to +11000.
Besides Game 4, Bobrovsky has posted a save percentage above .905 in every other contest. He’s boasting a .912 save percentage in the Stanley Cup Final, while turning the tide with several key saves throughout.
Inarguably, Bobrovsky is the best value bet to win the award. If he stands on his head in Game 6, and potentially Game 7, he could cash as a longshot bet.
Connor McDavid +650
Despite his best efforts, Connor McDavid hasn’t been able to break through in the Stanley Cup Final. As such, it becomes harder to rationalize backing him as a potential Conn Smythe candidate.
The defending Conn Smythe winner has seven points in five Stanley Cup Final games. Worse, only two of those have come over the last three games.
Credit to the Panthers’ defensive system for keeping McDavid in check. But unless he single-handedly carries the Oilers to victory in Games 6 and 7, his chances of repeating as the playoff MVP have virtually disappeared.
Leon Draisaitl +650
The Oilers likely wouldn’t even be heading to Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final without Leon Draisaitl. The Oilers’ underappreciated center has been the offensive life raft keeping Edmonton afloat. If they prevail, Draisaitl will hoist the Conn Smythe Trophy.
Already, Draisaitl has the Oilers’ two overtime game-winning goals, adding to his eight Stanley Cup Final points. In doing so, he has tied McDavid for the playoff lead in scoring.
McDavid may be hailed as Edmonton’s savior, but it’s Draisaitl who could lead the Oilers to the promised land.
Sam Bennett -165
For the first time this postseason, we have a chalky Conn Smythe favorite. A flurry of betting action after Game 5 moved Sam Bennett's odds all the way to -165.
Bennett has been sensational throughout the playoffs. He leads all scorers with 14 goals, with five coming against the Oilers in the Stanley Cup Final. Moreover, he has found the back of the net in all but one of those five contests.
A deserving favorite, Bennett still faces stiff competition from an unfamiliar teammate.
