Martinez had been on the shelf due to lower back tightness. The team elected not to send him on a rehab assignment as they want his potent right-handed bat back in the lineup. Martinez has gotten off to a slow start this season as he is batting .250 with four home runs, 15 RBI, and 13 runs in 23 games. This is the first season in Los Angeles for Martinez after spending the last five years in Boston with the Red Sox. Martinez went 1-4 as the Dodgers defeated the San Diego Padres 4-2 on Friday.
On Saturday, the Dodgers will host the division rival Padres. These two teams are expected to battle all season long for the best record in the National League West and maybe for the league. Julio Urias will start for the Dodgers, and Joe Musgrove of the Padres will oppose him. The Dodgers are +134 (-1.5) on the run line and -148 on the moneyline, with an over/under of 8.5, over (-105), and under (-115).
You can find the lines and props for this game and all others on the FanDuel Sportsbook.
