MLB HR Leader Power Rankings Odds: Alonso Leading, Trout Surging

Zachary Cook

Home runs are flying at an excellent rate in 2023, and numerous players could lead the league in long balls.

We’re looking at the top ten players with the best odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.

1. Pete Alonso +350 (Last week: +280)

Pete Alonso continues to lead the league in home runs with 18. The New York Mets power hitter has clubbed five home runs since May 16 and is on a roll. Still, with other hitters in the conversation now, Alonso has seen his odds drop from +280 to +350, where he’s still the favorite.

2. Aaron Judge +400 (Last week: +360)

Aaron Judge has found his sweet power swing again, and he’s right back in the conversation to lead the league in dingers. Judge has crushed 14 home runs and sits just four back of Alonso for the league lead. Judge has seen his odds drop slightly over the last week from +360 to +400, which is a very appetizing price to consider.

3. Mike Trout +1200 (Last week: +1800)

Mike Trout has resurfaced near the top of the odds leaderboard to lead the league in homers. Trout is up to 12 homers on the campaign, leading to his odds rising from +1800 to +1200.

4. Matt Olson +1600 (Last week: +1300)

Matt Olson has impressively continued to hang around in the conversation. Olson has reached new heights with his power stroke in 2023, which has seen him tally 14 home runs. He boasts the fourth-shortest odds now at +1600.

5. Max Muncy +1900 (Last week: +1100)

Max Muncy has recently hit a wall for the Los Angeles Dodgers in the home run category. His last homer came on May 18, which has led to his odds dropping from +1100 to +1900, despite sitting second in the league with 15 home runs.

6. (Tie) Shohei Ohtani +2500 (Last week: Unranked in Top Ten)

Shohei Ohtani is back in the conversation after another hot week, which now has him up to 12 long balls in 2023. Ohtani’s bat came alive in May, and he now boasts +2500 odds to lead the league in home runs.

6. (Tie) Kyle Schwarber +2500 (Last week: +2000)

Philadelphia Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber has reemerged in the conversation. He’s had a tough time hitting for average this year, but he’s still slugged 12 home runs, leading to his odds sitting at +2500.

6. (Tie) Rafael Devers +2500 (Last week: +2000)

Rafael Devers has hit 13 home runs but has struggled at the plate of late. As a result, he’s seen his odds somewhat tail off to lead the league in homers from +2000 to +2500.

6. (Tie)  Yordan Alvarez +2500 (Last week: +2500)

One of the most feared hitters in MLB is Houston Astros slugger Yordan Alvarez. The Astros’ big bat has picked up his play of late, which now has him with 12 dingers on the year. Still, his odds held at +2500.

6. (Tie) Ronald Acuna Jr. +2500 (Last week: +2000)

Ronald Acuna Jr. continues to do a little of everything this year, which is why he’s also listed as the odds-on favorite to win the NL MVP. Acuna Jr. has mashed eleven home runs, which has dropped his price from +2000 to +2500.
