Home runs are flying at an excellent rate in 2023, and numerous players could lead the league in long balls.
We’re looking at the top ten players with the best odds at FanDuel Sportsbook to lead the league in round-trippers.
1. Pete Alonso +260 (Last week: +250)
Pete Alonso continues to own the league lead in home runs with 13. Alonso has cooled off in the homers department lately, seeing his odds slightly downtick from +250 to +260 over the last week.
2. Aaron Judge +700 (Last week: +600)
Aaron Judge is still the biggest power threat in MLB, even after being unseated at the top. It’s been a peculiar start to the season for the reigning league leader in homers, where he sits with just six. He’s had some injury issues and missed a short stint, but he’s still been dropped from +600 to +700 over the last week.
3. Matt Olson +850 (Last week: +1800)
Matt Olson is a dark horse in the conversation and has been one of the players to see his odds fluctuate weekly. Olson has hammered eleven homers, and his numbers have risen substantially from +1800 to +850, where he has the third-shortest odds.
4. (Tie) Max Muncy +1300 (Last week: +1200)
Max Muncy is still right in the conversation to lead the league in long balls but has cooled off slightly lately. He still sits second in the league with 12 home runs but has seen his odds dip from +1200 to +1300.
4. (Tie) Rafael Devers +1300 (Last week: +1600)
Rafael Devers has put himself in an excellent position as the middle of May looms. He’s on a tear and has crushed eleven home runs, leading to the Boston Red Sox surprising many people. With his power surge, Devers has been bet down from +1600 to +1300.
6. (Tie) Mike Trout +1600 (Last week: +1200)
Mike Trout has yet to really go on one of his memorable runs. He’s known for being one of the top hitters in MLB, but his eight home runs through May 10 have seen his odds drop from +1200 to +1600 to lead the league in homers.
6. (Tie) Kyle Schwarber +1600 (Last week: +1600)
Philadelphia Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber has struggled to find much of any consistency. He’s hitting just .187 but has also clubbed eight home runs. Schwarber has held onto his price over the last week at +1600.
6. (Tie) Yordan Alvarez +1600 (Last week: +1600)
One of the most feared hitters in MLB is Houston Astros slugger Yordan Alvarez. The big slugger has had no issue driving in runs and creating offense, but he hasn’t left the yard a ton, hitting just eight home runs. Alvarez remains with +1600 odds.
9. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. +2500 (Last week: +2500)
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hasn’t manufactured a ton of power from the dish to this point, but he’s still been putting up numbers for the Toronto Blue Jays. The slugging first baseman continues to own +2500 odds.
10. Shohei Ohtani +3500 (Last week: +2500)
Two-way star Shohei Ohtani hasn’t been a significant power threat to this point of the regular season. The Los Angeles Angels phenom has launched eight home runs, but his odds of leading the league in dingers has fallen considerably from +2500 to +3500.
