2. Houston Astros +500 (Last week: +700)
With two straight victories and six over their last ten games, the Houston Astros continue to build on their lead atop the AL West. With the defending World Series champs playing well at the right time of year, they’ve seen their odds of winning the Fall Classic bet down from +700 to +500.
3. Los Angeles Dodgers +600 (Last week: +330)
It hasn’t been a great start to September for the Los Angeles Dodgers, who’ve won just four of their last ten games. With their recent struggles, the Dodgers World Series odds have nearly doubled over the previous week from +330 to +600.
4. Baltimore Orioles +750 (Last week: +1000)
The Baltimore Orioles were the first team in the American League to hit the 90-win mark. The Orioles have won seven of their last ten games and have a three-game lead in the AL East. With another strong week in the books, the O’s World Series odds have been bet down from +1000 to +750.
5. Tampa Bay Rays +1200 (Last week: +1200)
The Tampa Bay Rays have figured things out over the last month and have three in a row after taking three of four from the Seattle Mariners. The Rays have continued to boast +1200 World Series odds over the last week.
6. (Tie) Philadelphia Phillies +1300 (Last week: +1800)
Even though the Philadelphia Phillies have only won four of their last ten games, they’ve still managed to see some sizable odds movement with their World Series odds. The reigning NL champs have risen over the previous week from +1800 to +1300.
6. (Tie) Seattle Mariners +1300 (Last week: +1300)
It hasn’t been a perfect stretch for the Seattle Mariners, who’ve lost three in a row and seven of their last ten. The M’s are 2.5 games back in the AL West and have a half-game lead over the Texas Rangers for the final wild-card spot in the AL. The Mariners have maintained their +1300 World Series odds.
8. Toronto Blue Jays +2000 (Last week: +2400)
The Toronto Blue Jays picked a good time of the year to figure things out with a massive four-game set with the Texas Rangers beginning tonight. The Blue Jays have won three in a row and eight of their last ten, helping their World Series odds rise from +2400 to +2000.
9. (Tie) Texas Rangers +2100 (Last week: +1100)
Even though the Texas Rangers have won two in a row, they aren’t out of the woods yet. They remain a half-game behind the final wild-card spot in the American League, and a four-game series with the Blue Jays is on the horizon. The Rangers World Series odds continued dropping from +2100 to +1100.
9. (Tie) Minnesota Twins +2100 (Last week: +2400)
The AL Central continues to be right there for the taking for the Minnesota Twins, who lead the second-place Cleveland Guardians by 7.5 games. Minnesota has won six of their last ten games, leading to their World Series odds rising from +2400 to +2100.
