The Jets’ Week 1 victory over the Bills made headlines for many reasons. Between Aaron Rodgers’s devastating injury and the Jets’ stunning overtime comeback, Jordan Whitehead’s contributions to the victory fell slightly under the radar. The safety had three interceptions off Bills QB Josh Allen, the third of which turned into Garrett Wilson’s game-tying touchdown. Not only did Whitehead spark the come-from-behind win, he satisfied his contractive incentive, cashing in on a $250,000 bonus just one week into the season.

The Saints’ defense shined in their season-opening win over the Titans. New Orleans’ defense combined for three interceptions, with cornerbacks Marshon Lattimore and Paulson Adebo and safety Marcus Maye each contributing picks. The defense also produced three red zone stops that led to field goals instead of touchdowns, all crucial moments in the 16-15 victory.
