MLB‘s beloved All-Star Game has finally arrived! As is now tradition, the Midsummer Classic will take place on Tuesday evening. With the Atlanta Braves hosting the 95th official installment between the National League and American League, the action will be hot on and off the field.
Last night’s home run derby surely impressed, but where can we find success when the majors’ top names are taking on each other?

MLB All-Star Game Best Bets: Tuesday’s Top 2 Betting Picks
Where to Watch American League vs. National League
- Ballpark: Truist Park
- Location: Cumberland, GA
- Where to Watch: FOX
- Time: 8:05 p.m. ET
- Spread: A.L. -1.5 (+160) | Total: 7 (-120/-102)
- Moneyline: A.L. -102 | N.L. -116
The 2025 All-Star Game should provide quality entertainment and wagering opportunities all the like. Probable pitchers are Pittsburgh Pirates RHP Paul Skenes (2.01 ERA) and Detroit Tigers LHP Tarik Skubal (2.23 ERA)—that, alone, will set a ferocious tone Tuesday at Truist Park.
Since the inception of Major League Baseball’s Midsummer Classic, the American League holds a slight advantage with a 48-44-2 all-time record. That includes a 5-3 win in last season’s rendition at Globe Life Field.
Further back, the A.L. has emerged victorious in 10 of the past 11 All-Star Games. Since 1988, the American League has gone 28-7-1 here, which is a level of sustained dominance that cannot be ignored.
Both lineups on hand are deep with talent, but considering that the National League is listed as a slight favorite, I’m further intrigued to support the A.L.
New York Yankees skipper Aaron Boone will be making his managerial debut at the Midsummer Classic. Across the way, Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts is appearing at the ASG for a fourth time.
Roberts also coached the N.L. for three straight games from 2018 to 2021 (the contest was cancelled in 2020). The National League went 0-3 in those games while being cumulatively outscored, 17-11.
The southpaw Skubal will face a high-profile squad from the Senior Circuit that features only three natural right-handed batters. From there, Skubal — who has held opposing LHB to a .406 OPS in 2025 — should face four lefties and two switch hitters in the starting lineup, and like most switchers, both Ketel Marte and Francisco Lindor are considerably better versus RHP.
The National League’s batting order boasts more star power than the A.L., but in recent years, MLB’s All-Star Game has become increasingly dictated by prolific pitching. With that, the American League staff showcases many hurlers who can shut down almost any offensive threat.

Best Bet: American League ML (-102)
In that same vein, an under play on the total of seven runs could prove advantageous on Tuesday. Not only will Skubal match up favorably against the N.L., but Pittsburgh’s Skenes has all the right stuff to keep a younger A.L. starting lineup at bay. Of course, he’ll need to look out for Seattle Mariners catcher and HR derby-winner Cal Raleigh hitting cleanup; the “Big Dumper" currently leads MLB with 38 home runs.
Over the past five All-Star Games, we have seen seven or less combined runs scored in every contest except one. That same span has also produced just 6.4 total runs per game at this juncture. After all, baseball is a pitcher’s world, and the rest of us are just living in it.
According to Baseball Savant, Atlanta’s Truist Park has earned a 2025 Park Factor score of 97. That ranks as the ninth-best “pitcher’s park" among all 30 MLB venues.
Best Bet: Under 7 runs (-102)
2025 MLB All-Star Game Top Picks:
