MLB Betting Guide for April 16: Unstoppable AL East?

All 30 MLB teams are in action today, so let’s dive into the action.

Kicking off the day, we have a single game in the afternoon as the Detroit Tigers will host the Texas Rangers where the SportsGrid Betting Model is touting a five-star play on the Rangers ML. Not a bad way to get the day of betting started!

Moving on to the main-slate, we want to take a look at the action in AL East tonight as all five teams currently sit above .500. The New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays will face off north of the border, the Tampa Bay Rays will host the Los Angeles Angels, the Boston Red Sox will look to bounce back against the Clevleand Guardians, and the Baltimore Orioles will host the Milwaukee Brewers. Outside of the Yankees and O’s, can any team actually truly compete for the division crown? It’s certainly going to be a great race to follow at the minimum.

Additionally, we’ll have our eyes in Queens as the New York Mets have found a groove, reaching the .500 point after starting the season 0-5. With Spencer Strider out for the Atlanta Braves and the Philadelphia Phillies not dominating, watch out for the Mets to potentially squeeze into the NL East race.

In the late-window, keep an eye on the Cincinnati Reds-Seattle Mariners game for a potential NRFI opportunity, while we may have a slugfest in the desert with the Chicago Cubs and Arizona Diamondbacks throwing two struggling pitchers on the mound.
