MLB Betting Guide for April 19: Much Needed Astro Debut

All 30 MLB teams are in action today, so let’s dive into everything you need to know in order to line your bankroll heading into the weekend.

We have just a single afternoon game today. The Miami Marlins and Chicago Cubs will play their postponed game from yesterday in beautiful baseball weather in Wrigley.

In the early window of the night slate, we have our eyes on the Nation’s Capital as the Washington Nationals will host the Houston Astros with Justin Verlander set to make his 2024 debut. Pitching has been ugly for the Astros, so can Verlander provide the Astros with a much-needed spark to get back on track?

Next, we have two less notable games that bring a ton of intrigue. First, the Kansas City Royals will host the Baltimore Orioles which will serve as a great measuring stick for how legitimate this hot Royals’ start has been. Plus, the Milwaukee Brewers and St. Louis Cardinals will square off in an NL Central battle.

Closing out the night, we’ll see how the New York Mets’ recent success fares against the Los Angeles Dodgers while Jordan Montgomery will make his much-anticipated debut for the Arizona Diamondbacks as they take on the San Francisco Giants in a division battle.
