1. Orlando Magic: 37-19 ATS
Led by last year's NBA Rookie of the Year Award winner Paolo Banchero, the Orlando Magic have taken another step forward this year. Not only are the Magic in the driver's seat to take their first division title since 2019, but no team has covered more games this season.
The Magic have been on the right side of the line in nine of their past 11 games, including an impressive road win in Cleveland last night. Expect them to be substantial favorites as they continue their road trip in Detroit tomorrow night.
Magic Futures Odds at FanDuel
- NBA Championship: +24000
- East Winner: +11000
- Southeast Winner: -115
- 46.5 Reg. Season Wins: O +104 | U -128
6. Utah Jazz: 31-26 ATS
The Utah Jazz may be sitting on the outside looking in at an NBA Play-In Tournament spot, but they are still getting it done against the number, especially until recently. Five straight ATS and outright losses have taken the Jazz from the top of this list to a still respectable sixth-best mark.
Jazz Futures Odds at FanDuel
- 36.5 Reg. Season Wins: O -102 | U -120
- Make Playoffs: +1800
- Make Play-In: +1400
5. New York Knicks: 31-24-1 ATS
Last night, the New York Knicks added to their impressive ATS record with a statement road win in Philadelphia. It was a blowout win and cover they sorely needed in their first game out of the break. Like the Jazz, New York stumbled to All-Star weekend, dropping six straight outright and against the number.
The Knicks will get another shot at improving their mark on Saturday when they will likely be short home dogs hosting Boston.
Knicks Futures Odds at FanDuel
- NBA Championship: +2100
- East Winner: +650
- 49.5 Reg. Season Wins: O -150 | U +122
4. New Orleans Pelicans: 31-24-1 ATS
Last night, the New Orleans Pelicans got back in the win column and covered after a sluggish showing before the break. The Pels handed Houston a 22-point defeat as -6.5-point home favorites after covering just once in four pre-All-Star weekend outings.
New Orleans can jump a spot in our rankings with another cover tonight. The Pels are -3.5-point home favorites hosting Miami. On the season the Pels have covered both ends of a back-to-back four times, split twice, and have yet to be swept ATS.
Pelicans Futures Odds at FanDuel
- NBA Championship: +5500
- West Winner: +3000
- Southwest Division Winner: -180
- 48.5 Reg. Season Wins: O -115 | U -105
3. Philadelphia 76ers: 31-23 ATS
Not only does the Philadelphia 76ers season outcome live and die with Joel Embiid, but so does their ability to cover. In the 18 games Embiid has missed since December 25th, Philly has an unimpressive 7-11 mark against the spread.
The oft-injured superstar center had meniscus surgery on February 6th and is expected to be re-evaluated in early March. Embiid's uncertain future status has even factored in FanDuel taking Philly's season win total off the board.
There's a good chance the Sixers are cautious in bringing him back, especially if they continue to dip in the standings. Until he's back, expect them to continue to dip in our rankings.
76ers Futures Odds at FanDuel
- NBA Championship: +3000
- East Winner: +1600
- Make Playoffs: Yes -600 | No +420
- Make Play-In: -300
2. Oklahoma City Thunder: 34-20-1 ATS
Not only have the Oklahoma City Thunder been a pleasant surprise in the standings, but also for OKC backers at the book. Led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (+200) and his MVP chase, where he trails only Nikola Jokic (-115) on the oddsboard, the Thunder have been covering machines.
Last night, they picked up right where they left off before the break against the Pacific Division leaders. OKC put a whopping on the visiting Clippers, beating them by 22 as 1.5-point home favorites.
The Thunder may be in tough improving their ATS mark as 16-point home favorites tonight. The lowly Wizards are coming to town, but on the second night of a back-to-back to beat two teams by 17 or more will be challenging.
Thunder Futures Odds at FanDuel
- NBA Championship: +2500
- West Winner: +800
- Northwest Winner: +160
- 56.5 Reg. Season Wins: O +116 | U -142
