Leg 1: Pacers +9.5
The betting market continues to position the Thunder out in front. But as we’ve seen in virtually every game in this series, that position remains precarious. Expect the Pacers to show up and keep Game 5 closer than the betting line implies.
Besides Game 2, the Pacers have been hanging tough versus OKC until the bitter end. That has been Indiana’s standard throughout the playoffs. The Eastern Conference champs are a staggering 13-7 against the spread in the postseason, cashing at a 65.0% clip.
Conversely, the Thunder haven’t had much luck covering the number in the latter stages of the playoffs. Over its last seven games, Oklahoma City has cashed just three times despite being favored in each one of those contests.
The pace of this series isn’t conducive to the Thunder covering a hefty number. Their scoring has taken a massive hit against the Pacers’ underappreciated defense, and it’s unlikely they pull away in Game 5. We’re taking the points in this one.

Leg 2: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Under 28.5 Points +280
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has maintained his MVP profile in the NBA Finals. However, a few factors are pointing toward a diminished performance in Game 5.
First, SGA is operating above normal capacity. Over the last four games, the Thunder guard is averaging 23.8 shots per game. That increased volume has been necessary to offset his decreased efficiency from the floor. Gilgeous-Alexander has shot a below-average 50.0% in all but one game in the NBA Finals.
Secondly, SGA is getting a hand from the refs. A few questionable calls sent him to the charity stripe, particularly in Game 4. Further, he has gotten away with some ball-handling mistakes and travels, which have resulted in points.
Gilgeous-Alexander is having trouble against the Pacers’ defense. The more natural play would be to take the under on his points prop, but we’re looking at an alternate number to maximize value. Backing him to fall below 28.5 points is the play to make.
Leg 3: Pascal Siakam to Record 25+ Points +310
The Pacers demand a lot out of their starting five. So far this series, everyone has responded with some of their best efforts of the season. Pascal Siakam does a bit of everything right, but we are predicting a surge in scoring in Game 5.
Siakam has seen a dip in production recently. After averaging 17.5 shots per game in the Eastern Conference Final, the Pacers’ big man is down to 13.8 in the NBA Finals. That limited scoring is also evident in his efficiency ratings. Most notably, Siakam is shooting just 43.6% from the field, significantly below his regular-season average of 51.9%.
In reconciling his current production with expected values, Siakam is a natural progression candidate to see an increase in scoring. Even if he doesn’t reach peak volume, the anticipated increase in his shooting percentage should be enough to get his point total back up. We’re betting he reaches at least 25 on Monday night.

If things go as expected, bettors could be in for a hefty payday. We’re parlaying the Pacers +9.5 with SGA under 28.5 points and Pascal Siakam to record 25 or more points. Those wagers could net bettors a robust +1890 in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
