The Denver Nuggets head back to Oklahoma for a battle with the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 5 of this Western Conference Semifinals showdown. Denver heads into this matchup looking to reclaim home-court advantage after narrowly falling to the Thunder on Sunday, allowing OKC to tie the series at 2-2. Meanwhile, the Thunder look to build on the momentum from Game 4’s win to take a 3-2 series lead in front of their home fans on Tuesday night.

Nuggets vs Thunder Best Bet: Nuggets +10.5
Denver enters this matchup as double-digit underdogs, and considering the Thunder’s dominance at home this season, it’s easy to understand why. However, outside of the Thunder’s blowout win in Game 2, every game in this series has been decided by single digits. With these two teams amid a chess match, it’s hard to imagine that the margin of victory in this battle is by 11+ points. Although Denver may be unable to steal another game on the road, it won’t be a surprise to see this matchup come down to the wire.
Nuggets vs Thunder Best Total Bet: Under 221
In the first two games of this series, the final score easily surpassed the 221-point set total. However, as both sides adjust, this series has gone from an offensive shootout to a defensive battle. With back-to-back games ending with less than 221 points, I like the odds that the final score of this matchup follows that trend. A final score of 112-104 seems like a realistic outcome.

Nuggets Best Player Bet: Christian Braun 2+ Threes Made +120
Christian Braun put together a career year for the Nuggets this season, averaging 15.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.6 assists. The Kansas product has developed into a reliable 3-and-D player for Denver, and so far through the postseason, he’s continued to prove his worth. Coming off a series-high 17 points in Game 4, I expect Braun to stay aggressive on Tuesday night. Not to mention, he’s knocked down 2+ threes in back-to-back games entering tonight’s game.
Thunder Best Player Bet: Chet Holmgren OVER 16.5 Points +124
Chet Holmgren has struggled to start this series, averaging 13.3 points and 11.5 rebounds through the first four games. Although he’s proven to be a double-double machine, the Thunder could use a scoring boost from their versatile seven-footer. Holmgren can explode on offense any night, and although he’s shooting 39.6% from the floor in the series, he seems due for a big game on offense. Often, playoff wins are decided by players who step up, and I like the chance that the Gonzaga product will step up on Tuesday.
