Jer'Michael Carter showed him breakaway speed in 2024, going off for 537 yards on 37 receptions with McNeese. Standing 6'4" and weighing 192 pounds, Carter could be the next big thing to come out of the Sooners' program.

Iamaleava is an athletic specimen with elite arm strength and will transform the Bruins program. The California native led the Tennessee Volunteers to the CFP in his freshman campaign. A similar outcome with UCLA would be nothing short of disappointing.

A highly sought-after prospect out of high school, David Bailey spent the first three seasons of his career with the Stanford Cardinal. As the program failed to restore itself, Bailey sought a new opportunity in a different conference. The talented edge rusher is bringing his career 14.5 sacks and four-star pedigree to the Texas Tech Red Raiders for the 2025 campaign.

It may not have been his most productive campaign, but a down year in 2024 didn't impact Jaydn Ott's perceived value in the transfer portal. The four-star recruit is just one season removed from a 1,300-yard campaign, and he should have no problem getting back to that level with the Sooners.

After initially committing to the Wisconsin Badgers early in the transfer window, Tanner Koziol flipped his commitment a few weeks later. Koziol had a wildly productive junior season, leading the Ball State Cardinals in receptions (94) and receiving yards (839). That represents the low end of what to expect from Koziol in Houston.

Recurrent ACL injuries may have negatively impacted Mohamed Toure's perceived value, but his ability on the field remains almost unmatched. In 2023, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights linebacker recorded 92 tackles, 4.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and an interception. Then, a second ACL injury prevented him from taking the field in 2024. Toure will be a wrecking ball for the Miami Hurricanes next season.

As a true freshman, Elias Rudolph saw limited action with the Miami Hurricanes. The hulking defensive end appeared in just one game in 2024, recording a tackle in a 62-0 blowout versus Ball State. Bernard Gooden will earn a more loyal following in 2025. Gooden spent last season on the South Florida Bulls defensive line, accumulating 35 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and two fumble recoveries. Next up, the senior is headed to Death Valley, committing to the LSU Tigers for next season. Gooden will have the chance to test his skills against the top teams in the country, hoping to lead the Tigers back to SEC glory.

Andrew Simpson has been a wrecking ball in the Boise State Broncos' linebackers corps for the past three seasons. While those were modest declines relative to his 2023 production, Simpson has proven to be a disruptive force many teams will covet. The North Carolina Tar Heels were the lucky program to earn Simpson's commitment.

It's been a busy, if not unproductive, offseason for Micah Hudson. The former four-star recruit entered the transfer portal at the end of the regular season, signing on with the Texas A&M Aggies for the 2025 campaign. Hudson is heading back to his former stomping grounds without playing a down or participating in any sanctioned team activities. The wide receiver signed back on with the Texas Tech Red Raiders, looking to build on his 123 receiving yards from last year.
11. A.J. Haulcy, S

The LSU Tigers nabbed one of the top secondary players available in the spring transfer portal. Not heavily recruited out of high school, A.J. Haulcy initially signed on with the New Mexico Lobos. After a standout freshman campaign, the safety transferred to the Houston Cougars. There, he accumualted 171 tackles, seven passes defended, and five interceptions, all of which came during the 2024 season. Haulcy will exhaust his eligibility with the Tigers.

With limited football opportunities out of high school, Elo Modozie fought his way onto the Army Black Knights roster. Modozie totaled 6.5 sacks and 34 tackles last season, becoming a disruptive downhill pass rusher.

Over the past three seasons, Julian Neal saw a progressive increase in his responsibilities. Not surprisingly, 2024 was his best year yet. By the end of the season, Neal had accumulated 35 tackles, five tackles for a loss, 1.0 sack, and two interceptions. Neal will be flaunting those skills with the Arkansas Razorbacks next season.

Beau Atkinson was a sought-after edge rusher out of high school. But after two years of playing with his home state North Carolina Tar Heels, he's earned an even more loyal following. Atkinson is coming off a 7.5-sack sophomore campaign, earning him a shot with the defending National Champion Ohio State Buckeyes.
15. Byron Cardwell Jr.

The San Diego State Aztecs have a game-changing back in Byron Cardwell Jr. The running back broke onto the scene as a freshman, rushing for 417 yards on 61 carries with the Oregon Ducks in 2021. Since then, the running back has burned through a redshirt season and totaled 151 rushing yards on 35 carries. Cardwell will be toting the ball for the Aztecs next season.
16. Joe Cotton, OT

A hulking 6'7'' prospect, Joe Cotton is off to the Power 4 for his final season of eligibility. Cotton anchored a South Dakota Coyotes offensive line that allowed the ninth-fewest sacks and gained the sixth-most rushing yards per game. Moreover, he started all 14 games for the Coyotes, maximizing his time on the field. The Cincinnati Bearcats' offensive line got better with Cotton.
17. Emmanuel Karnley

2025 Commitment: Virginia Cavaliers

Emmanuel Karnley decided that the Miami Hurricanes weren't for him. The defensive back spent his freshman season with the Arizona Wildcats, electing to sign on with the Hurricanes during the winter transfer portal. After some thought, Karnley elected to re-enter the portal and committed to the Virginia Cavaliers for the 2025 campaign. While he only appeared in eight games last season, Karnley registered five pass deflections and 16 tackles.
18. Keelan Marion, WR

The Miami Hurricanes lost several of their top pass-catchers from last season, creating a massive void in their receiving corps. Keelan Marion totaled 346 receiving yards with the BYU Cougars last season and will build on that offensive production with Miami.

Over the past couple of seasons, Jack Endries has become a staple of the California Golden Bears' passing attack. He's been given the opportunity to elevate his game, signing on with the Texas Longhorns. Not surprisingly, Endries ratcheted his production higher in 2024, hauling in 56 passes for 623 yards and two touchdowns. He will be one of the premier pass-catchers in the Longhorns' new era, stepping in for their recently drafted former offensive weapons.
20. Maraad Watson, DL

One season of beating up opponents in the ACC was enough to convince the Texas Longhorns to give Maraad Watson a shot. The defensive lineman accumulated 30 tackles, 1.0 sacks, and a pass deflection in his freshman campaign with the Syracuse Orange. Subsequently, Watson entered the spring transfer portal, accepting an offer to join the Longhorns.
21. Trebor Pena, WR

Before Trebor Pena entered the transfer portal, the Syracuse Orange already had some holes to fill on their offense. Those issues are even more glaring with the departure of their top remaining wide receiver. Pena hauled in an impressive 84 receptions for 941 yards last season, which is easily his most productive collegiate showing. He'll have the chance to set the bar even higher with the Penn State Nittany Lions.
22. TJ Ferguson, IOL

2025 Commitment: Syracuse Orange

Formerly the fifth-ranked interior offensive lineman in the country, TJ Ferguson failed to reach the level everyone expected him to with the Florida State Seminoles. But with one season of eligibility remaining, Ferguson is heading north to spend his senior seaso with the Syracuse Orange. There, he will be hoping to re-assert himself as an NFL prospect.
23. Ty Williams, S
Previous Team: Oklahoma State Cowboys
2025 Commitment: Tulsa Golden Hurricane

After spending the last four years with the Oklahoma State Cowboys, Ty Williams failed to scratch the surface of his former four-star status. The safety tallied just 20 tackles across four campaigns, preserving another season of eligibility. With that, Williams will be patrolling the Tulsa Golden Hurricane secondary in 2025.
24. Nathan Leacock, WR
Previous Team: Tennessee Volunteers
2025 Commitment: North Carolina Tar Heels

Another prospect who has tested the portal waters multiple times this offseason, Nathan Leacock, finally found his landing spot for the 2025 campaign. He initially committed to the Purdue Boilermakers over the winter, but he re-entered the portal this spring, eventually landing on North Carolina. The once-highly regarded prospect has appeared in just six games over the last two seasons, with one lone reception for 13 yards.
25. Akelo Stone, DT
Previous Team: Ole Miss Rebels
2025 Commitment: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Akelo Stone is looking to make the most of his final season of eligibility, and for that, he's turning to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The defensive tackle saw a slight decrease in his usage and production, recording just 14 tackles and 1.5 sacks last season. That represents a decrease in both metrics relative to his 2023 campaign. Stone will be a more prominent feature on Georgia Tech's defensive line in 2025.
26. Zaquan Patterson

A former four-star recruit, some of the shine has worn off Zaquan Patterson after a somewhat ineffective freshman campaign. While appearing in ten games, the Miami Hurricanes' safety totaled just 19 tackles and two pass deflections. Nonetheless, Patterson has the size and speed traits teams look for in secondary contributors. He is the type of player the Oklahoma State Cowboys need in their secondary.
27. Smith Vilbert, EDGE

2025 Commitment: North Carolina Tar Heels

Injuries have limited Smith Vilbert from reaching his ceiling, but that won't stop him from putting his best foot forward in 2025. The hulking edge rusher has moved on from the Penn State Nittany Lions, committing to the North Carolina Tar Heels for the upcoming campaign. Last season, Vilbert tallied 1.5 sacks while appearing in 10 games with Penn State.
28. Chris Henry, CB
Previous Team: West Virginia Mountaineers
2025 Commitment: Coastal Carolina Chanticleers

Chris Henry signed on with the West Virginia Mountaineers ahead of the 2024 campaign, but didn't see game action as a true freshman. Consequently, the former three-star recruit cornerback elected to enter the spring transfer portal. Desiring a change of scenery and a more prominent role on defense, Henry committed to the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers ahead of the 2025 season.
29. Bailey Benson, LB

Eight schools offered Bailey Benson a shot out of high school, and the linebacker committed to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in December 2024. Unsatisfied with his decision, Benson re-entered the spring portal looking for a new opportunity. After consideration, the three-star recruit decided to stay in the Carolinas, shifting his commitment to the NC State Wolf Pack.
30. Trishstin Glass, WR

2025 Commitment: Coastal Carolina Chanticleers

Another Wake Forest commit who decided to transfer this spring, Trishstin Glass, won't be heading to Winston-Salem. Initially signing on with the Demon Deacons in December, Glass was another three-star recruit who decided to look elsewhere. The wideout also chose to stay nearby and enroll in Coastal Carolina.
31. Mikai Gbayor, LB
Previous Team: Nebraska Cornhuskers
2025 Commitment: North Carolina Tar Heels

Mikai Gbayor is another stalwart who will patrol the North Carolina Tar Heels' defense next season. Gbayor wrapped up his junior season with the Nebraska Cornhuskers, accumulating 49 sacks, two fumble recoveries, and 1.0 sack. The linebacker flipped his commitment to North Carolina this spring after initially signing on with the Missouri Tigers during the winter transfer window.
32. Andre Roye Jr.
Predicting Landing Spots for Top Players in CFB Portal

Previous Team: Maryland Terrapins
2025 Commitment: Colorado Buffaloes

After three seasons with the Maryland Terrapins, Andre Roye Jr. is seeking new challenges. The offensive tackle has never played more than seven games in a season, but has been effective when called upon. Roye is taking his talents west to join the Colorado Buffaloes, where he will be expected to take on a more substantial role.
33. Jaivian Thomas, RB

Jaivian Thomas is staying in California, but faces an equally daunting travel schedule after committing to the UCLA Bruins for his junior season. In 2024, Thomas was part of a two-headed running back committee with the California Golden Bears, churning out 626 yards on 100 carries. Equally as impressively, the California native found pay dirt seven times. Thomas will try to improve those numbers against some premier Big Ten defenses.
34. Kristopher Ross
Previous Team: Nevada Wolf Pack
2025 Commitment: Sacramento State Hornets

Kristopher Ross made the most of his lone season with the Nevada Wolf Pack. After spending two years with the Texas Longhorns, including a redshirt season, Ross spent his sophomore campaign with Nevada. There, he recorded 29 total tackles, including 14 solo, along with 2.5 sacks and two passes defended. Ross is taking a step down in competition in 2025, signing on with the Sacramento State Hornets.
35. Dermaricus Davis, QB
Previous Team: UCLA Bruins
2025 Commitment: Hawaii Rainbow Warriors

Dermaricus Davis didn’t like his chances of seeing any playing time with the UCLA Bruins. Naturally, he decided to pivot and pursue other opportunities. The former four-star recruit didn't see the field as a freshman, but will likely be competing for the starting job for the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors in 2025.
36. Braxton Fely, DT
Previous Team: Boise State Broncos
2025 Commitment: Boise State Broncos

The Boise State Broncos appeared to have another hole in their defense to patch up after the presumed departure of Braxton Fely. The defensive tackle totaled 5.5 for the Broncos in his junior year, adding 24 tackles. With one year of eligibility remaining, Fely entered the transfer portal, only to withdraw and return to Boise State.
37. Cooper Lovelace, IOL
Previous Team: Northwestern Wildcats
2025 Commitment: Colorado Buffaloes

Over the past few seasons, offensive lineman Cooper Lovelace has bounced around. He spent his first two seasons with the USC Trojans, appearing in just seven total games, surpassing that while appearing in 11 games for the Northwestern Wildcats last year. Lovelace will look for an expanded role with the Colorado Buffaloes in 2025.
38. Eric Taylor, DL
Previous Team: Mississippi State Bulldogs
2025 Commitment: Coastal Carolina Chanticleers

Eric Taylor started his college football journey with the LSU Tigers in 2020. He didn’t see action as a true freshman and ended up sitting out the 2021 campaign. Subsequently, Taylor went the JUCO route before landing with the Mississippi State Bulldogs ahead of the 2023 campaign. Again, he didn’t play in 2024, signing on with the SMU Mustangs during the winter transfer portal. The program wasn’t to his liking, as Taylor re-entered the portal and landed with the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers this spring.
39. Kenan Johnson, CB
Previous Team: Utah Utes
2025 Commitment: Virginia Cavaliers

Kenan Johnson started his college football career in 2019. However, injuries and COVID have preserved another season of eligibility for the cornerback. Johnson spent the first five seasons of his career with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, and then a knee injury derailed his 2024 campaign with the Utah Utes. He was the projected starter in Utah, but was lured to the Virginia Cavaliers via the transfer portal.
40. Emmett Mosley V, WR
Previous Team: Stanford Cardinal
2025 Commitment: Texas Longhorns

Heavily recruited out of high school and with offers from some of the most prestigious programs in the country, Emmett Mosley V elected to spend his freshman campaign with the Stanford Cardinal. But Mosley is on the move after one season in which he posted 525 yards and six touchdowns on 48 receptions. The 6'2'' wideout signed on with the Texas Longhorns, replacing some of the top pass-catchers they lost via the NFL Draft.
41. Damien Taylor, RB
Previous Team: Troy Trojans
2025 Commitment: Ole Miss Rebels

It takes a particular type of running back to excel in the SEC, and the Ole Miss Rebels think Damien Taylor has what it takes to succeed. Over the last three seasons, Taylor has flaunted his unforgiving running style with the Troy Trojans. The Alabama native ran for over 1,000 yards in 2024, yielding 5.8 yards per carry. Taylor will have the chance to take over the Rebels' backfield in 2025.
42. Lukas Ungar, TE
Previous Team: Stanford Cardinal
2025 Commitment: New Mexico State Aggies

No longer wanting to be a part of a fledgling Stanford Cardinal team, Lukas Ungar entered the spring transfer portal. The tight end landed on the New Mexico State Aggies as his next destination. With just one season of eligibility remaining, Ungar is looking to improve on the three receptions and 13 yards he posted in four seasons with the Cardinal.
43. Nadame Tucker
Transferring From: Houston Cougars
2025 Commitment: Western Michigan Broncos

For the second time this offseason, Nadame Tucker has entered the transfer portal. The edge rusher entered the portal in December, withdrawing at the end of March. Subsequently, Tucker re-entered the spring portal in April. A former JUCO transfer, Tucker has spent the past three seasons with the Houston Cougars, albeit with limited playing time. He is expected to be a stalwart for the Western Michigan Broncos next season.
44. D'Antre Robinson, DL
Previous Team: Florida Gators
2025 Commitment: North Carolina Tar Heels

Possessing all the tools to be an impact player, it didn't all come together at Florida for D'Antre Robinson. The freshman recorded 16 tackles in seven games with the Gators, tallying 1.0 sack and one fumble recovery. The North Carolina Tar Heels have big plans for Robinson, who could be a stalwart for years to come in Chapel Hill.
45. Hykeem Williams, WR
Previous Team: Florida State Seminoles
2025 Commitment: Colorado Buffaloes

The allure of learning from Deion Sanders was too good to pass up for Hykeem Williams. The former Florida State Seminoles receiver is joining the Colorado Buffaloes for the 2025 season. There are massive holes to fill on offense, but Williams has to like his chances of becoming a premier pass-catching option for the Buffaloes.
46. Noah King, S
Previous Team: Kansas State Wildcats
2025 Commitment: Colorado Buffaloes

The Colorado Buffaloes were one of the busiest teams this transfer period, and Noah King was one of their top defensive additions. King enrolled at Kansas State this January but elected to enter the transfer portal in search of new football opportunities. He found exactly that with the Buffaloes and will be a primary feature in their secondary as a freshman.
47. Armoni Goodwin, RB

2025 Commitment: UT Martin

After failing to make an impact with the LSU Tigers or UAB Blazers, Armoni Goodwin is making the move to the FCS. The hulking running back has churned out 420 rushing yards across three seasons, but should make a more sincere impact with the UT Martin Skyhawks next season.

Al-Ma'hi Ali had a superb season last year. The safety registered a career-high 51 tackles while adding a forced fumble and two interceptions. Ali will be patrolling the secondary for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers next season.
49. Kam Pringle, OL

2025 Commitment: Syracuse Orange

The Syracuse Orange has bolstered its offensive line with another top prospect in the transfer portal. Kam Pringle joins the Orange for the upcoming season. Pringle is a hulking prospect, measuring 6'8'' and weighing 345 lbs. He uses every inch of his frame on the line and excels in run-blocking packages. Another big get for Syracuse.
50. Jamarrion Solomon, DL
Previous Team: FIU Panthers
2025 Commitment: Charlotte 49ers

Jamarrion Solomon officially enrolled at FIU before the 2022 season, but has been used sparingly since then. He didn’t register on the stat sheet as a redshirt freshman, but had a more promising sophomore campaign in 2024. The defensive lineman registered 20 tackles and 1.0 sacks while appearing in eight games for the Panthers. Solomon will be joining the Charlotte 49ers for the upcoming campaign.
51. Wendell Gregory, EDGE

2025 Commitment: Oklahoma State Cowboys

Defense has usually been a vulnerability for the Oklahoma State Cowboys, but they look fiercer heading into the 2025 season. Wendell Gregory, who made just one appearance as a freshman, plays with reckless abandon on the defensive line. The edge rusher was ranked 17th in the country as part of the 2024 recruiting class and recorded a lone tackle in a blowout win versus the Akron Zips as a freshman.
52. Frank Peasant, RB

2025 Commitment: Memphis Tigers

After appearing in just two games in 2024, Frank Peasant has one season of eligibility remaining. The Florida native has spent the past five seasons with the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, serving as a complementary running back over that stretch. His best season came back in 2022 when he totaled 774 rushing yards on 182 carries. Peasant will be looking to rekindle that production with the Memphis Tigers.
