SEC Play (1 Unit)

No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs vs. No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide

Spread: Bulldogs -2.5 (-106) | Crimson Tide +2.5 (-114)
Moneyline: Bulldogs -126 | Crimson Tide +105
Total: OVER 48.5 (-110) | UNDER 48.5 (-110)

It’s certainly not often that the Alabama Crimson Tide are home dogs. But that’s the case on Saturday night under the lights when they welcome the Georgia Bulldogs to Tuscaloosa. There’s merit in making this a bigger play, but with the high quality teams in this matchup, it’s truthfully anyone’s game. You can make a case for both sides, but I’m going to make a bigger one for the visitors. Kalen DeBoer is a great coach in his own right, but he’s not Nick Saban. Kirby Smart is closer to Saban than he is DeBoer, and how he prepares for this matchup will go a long way. Georgia’s defensive line has the chance to make life really difficult on Jalen Milroe, especially if the concerns surrounding Alabama’s offensive line prove valid early in this game. Both quarterbacks have experience in this rivalry, but with the way things are set up leading into this major clash, I have slightly more trust in Carson Beck to control the game, especially if Trevor Etienne establishes the run early on. Georgia has four top 10 ranked opponents on their schedule and they need to have some urgency. The Bulldogs get revenge over the Tide for last year’s SEC title game.

Recommended Play: Bulldogs Moneyline (-126)

Kentucky Wildcats vs. No. 6 Ole Miss Rebels

Spread: Wildcats +17.5 (-115) | Rebels -17.5 (-105)
Moneyline: Wildcats +580 | Rebels -880
Total: OVER 53.5 (-104) | UNDER 53.5 (-118)

The Kentucky Wildcats have started to figure things out over the last two weeks, giving the Georgia Bulldogs all they could handle in Week 3. If the Wildcats can assemble any sort of offensive cohesion in this matchup on the road in Ole Miss, there’s legitimate merit that they can keep this a close game. For the same reason the Bulldogs struggled against the Wildcats, the same can be said for Ole Miss. Georgia’s offensive front is stronger, and the Wildcats defensive line is right up there with the best in the country. The Rebels really haven’t been tested to this point, and they’ll have to kick off SEC play with a difficult defensive opponent. I view this more as a two touchdown game when it’s all said and done. Give me the points.

Recommended Play: Wildcats +17.5 (-110)

Bigger SEC Play (2 Units)

Mississippi State Bulldogs vs. No. 1 Texas Longhorns

Spread: Bulldogs +38.5 (-110) | Longhorns -38.5 (-110)
Moneyline: Bulldogs N/A | Longhorns N/A
Total: OVER 62.5 (-105) | UNDER 62.5 (-115)

The Texas Longhorns have had no issue running up the scoreboard through Week 5. In three of their four victories this season, the Longhorns have scored 50 or more points. That trend is certainly in line to continue with a team total set at 50.5 in this clash against Mississippi State. The Longhorns offense hasn’t had any pushback in their four games in 2024, and that shouldn’t change against a Bulldogs program that has too many issues to count. The Longhorns can score 51 points in this matchup against all they want, but we don’t expect the Bulldogs to move the football. The Bulldogs are going to struggle in this matchup offensively, and there’s merit in the Longhorns completely shutting them out. Even if we’re generous and give them a touchdown, the number still falls under the total of 62.5 with out projections.

Recommended Play: UNDER 62.5 (-115)
