Where is ESPN College GameDay in Week 3?

ESPN’s College GameDay is set to take place in Columbia, S.C., in anticipation of the Gamecocks’ game against the 16th-ranked LSU Tigers.

This marks the eighth occasion the University of South Carolina has welcomed the show, with the last instance occurring in 2014. The previous GameDay hosted by the Gamecocks was before their game against Missouri, which ended in a disappointing loss to the unranked Tigers.

South Carolina holds a 3-4 record when hosting “College GameDay," a history highlighted by a notable victory over No. 1 Alabama in 2010. While a win against LSU wouldn’t be as startling, it would still count as an upset, given the Tigers’ status as moderate favorites on the road. The Gamecocks made a strong statement by defeating the favored Kentucky on the road in Week 2.

After finishing the 2023 season at 5-7, South Carolina fans are eager for a turnaround. They will gather in large numbers around the GameDay set this Saturday, hoping to inspire their team to another upset victory.

Who is the guest picker on College GameDay for Week 3?

Dawn Staley, the South Carolina Gamecocks women’s basketball coach, will serve as the College GameDay guest picker in Week 3.

Staley, a three-time national champion who has only suffered one loss in the past two seasons, is an exemplary choice for this showdown. She has become a towering figure in college sports, not just college basketball, and is at the helm of a thriving Gamecocks dynasty that continues to excel.

This marks the first time since Sabrina Ionescu in 2022 that a figure from college basketball has been selected as a guest picker.
