Dallas Cowboys Outlook
DALLAS COWBOYS 2023 OFFENSIVE RANKINGS
No. 5 Overall, No. 1 Scoring, No. 3 Passing, No. 14 Rushing
The Cowboys finished last season with the league's No. 1 scoring offense, averaging 29.9 PPG. Following a 2022 campaign in which he led the league in interceptions, quarterback Dak Prescott returned to Pro Bowl form, throwing for 4,516 yards with 36 touchdowns and just nine picks. Prescott was aided by the stellar play of star wideout CeeDee Lamb, the 25-year-old recording a career-best 135-1,749-12 receiving line en route to earning First-team All Pro honors.
While Dallas' passing attack was amongst the league's best, its run game finished a mediocre 14th as Tony Pollard struggled in his return from a fractured fibula. After playing this past year on the franchise tag, the Cowboys opted not to re-sign Pollard, the six-year veteran ultimately inking a three-year, $24 million deal with the Tennessee Titans.

Led by stud linebacker Micah Parsons, Dallas ranked fth in total defense, despite losing All-Pro corner Trevon Diggs to a torn ACL prior to Week 3. Counteracting Diggs's absence was 2022 fifth-rounder DaRon Bland, who stepped up and set the single-season NFL record for interceptions returned for a touchdown with five. Where the Cowboys struggled was on the ground, particularly late in the season, including surrendering 143 yards to the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Wild Card Round.
