Top 5 Wide Receiver NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Candidates

Rome Odunze - Chicago Bears
Even though Rome Odunze has the fifth-shortest odds of any rookie wideout to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, it's not for a lack of talent. The Washington product had the skillset in order to be a top 10 selection in the 2024 NFL Draft. The issue for Odunze is that he's entering a crowded wide receiver room, headlined by veteran stars Keenan Allen and DJ Moore. It might take some time for Odunze to earn his target share, but the talent is certainly there for him to make an impact.

Marvin Harrison Jr. - Arizona Cardinals
Marvin Harrison Jr. boasts the third-shortest odds to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, and has the shortest of any wide receiver. Harrison Jr. was an electric weapon for the Ohio State Buckeyes, and he's set to continue being an elite target threat with the Arizona Cardinals. Kyler Murray will be getting Harrison Jr. the ball early and often in Year 1, which should put him on a path to putting up a monster rookie season. We're expecting the Cardinals offense to take a big leap in 2024, and the addition of Harrison Jr. is a big reason for that.

Malik Nabers - New York Giants
No one should question the dynamic skill set that Malik Nabers brings to the table from LSU. The only issue for Nabers is that he's a rookie wide receiver in an offense that has trouble throwing the football. Daniel Jones doesn't exactly inspire confidence with his quarterback play, which could be an issue for Nabers. In saying that, former Tiger wideout can create yards after the catch, which he'll likely be relied upon to do in his rookie year. If Nabers can exploit defenses with his crafty route running, he's a strong candidate in this conversation.

Keon Coleman - Buffalo Bills
Although Keon Coleman just missed out on being a first round pick, he landed in a dream setting with Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. After trading Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans, the WR1 role with the Bills was up for grabs. Although Coleman likely dropped in the 2024 NFL Draft because of his lackluster 40-yard dash time, he's proven to be a dynamic threat and can win contested catch battles. Coleman has the opening in Buffalo to put up huge numbers in Year 1, making him a solid value play to win the award.

Xavier Worthy - Kansas City Chiefs
The Kansas City Chiefs have added another weapon for Patrick Mahomes. Look out, NFL. Not only did Xavier Worthy have a dominant showing at the University of Texas, his speed adds a unique element to the Chiefs offense they've been missing. To say they've been missing things after winning back-to-back Super Bowls was a crazy thing to type, but you can make a real case this offense is even better now. Worthy's speed is going to be a real problem for NFL defenses.
