Bears Defense/Special Teams (+800)
Bryce Young will make mistakes tonight. The questions are how many and how costly will those mistakes be? Last week, Young threw two pick-sixes, so against a Bears defense that’s made the most of their opportunities this season, this play is worth a sprinkle at +800 in my eyes.
Adam Thielen (+165)
No one on the Panthers is more dependable to score a touchdown than Adam Thielen. Their running back room is all over the place, there is no dependable tight end option, and the receivers behind Thielen are not very good. Thielen has had four touchdowns this season, ranks in the top 12 among all NFL wide receivers in red-zone targets, and has averaged 10.5 targets per game across the last seven weeks. The Bears defense is one of seven units in the league to have allowed at least ten touchdowns to opposing wide receivers this season, so at +165, I love the price I’m getting with Thielen.
D’Onta Foreman (+105)
D’Onta Foreman remains the Bears’ top running back with Khalil Herbert not ready to push full steam ahead. Across the past four weeks, he’s had at least 15 carries in three games, so if you’re telling me I get 15 carries from Foreman tonight against a Panthers defense that has allowed the most touchdowns to opposing running backs this season, I’m taking him to score a touchdown all day. An opposing runner has had a touchdown against the Panthers in six of eight games this season, so at +105, I look for Foreman to make it seven of nine.
Cole Kmet (+245)
Cole Kmet has been a straight-up machine these past two weeks as he’s averaged eight receptions and 67 yards. Not to mention, he’s fresh off a two-touchdown performance last week. The Panthers have defended tight ends very well this season, but Kmet is blazing hot right now, so there is no reason to back off him right now when we’re still getting him to score a touchdown at +245.
Terrace Marshall Jr. (+440)
The only wide receiver to have scored a touchdown this season for the Panthers that is not named Adam Thielen is DJ Chark, who is sidelined. It’s expected that Terrace Marshall Jr. will be stepping into his role tonight. Across the first four games of the season, Marshall Jr. was targeted in three of those and he combined for 24 targets. With Marshall Jr. regularly seeing snaps tonight, I would not be surprised to see a burst in production for Marshall Jr., making him finding the endzone at +440 a viable play in my eyes.
