The NBA’s Eastern Conference Final shifts back to Boston for Game 5 as the Celtics host the Miami Heat. Boston is coming off a 116-99 victory in Game 4, avoiding the sweep as it looks to become the first team in NBA history to come back from a 3-0 series deficit.
Below, you will find my top player prop options for Thursday’s showdown, starting with the C’s superstar forward.

BOS Jayson Tatum OVER 30.5 Points (-122)
Tatum came through for us on Tuesday, notching 30 or more points for the third time in the series topping his 29.5 points prop. That number has gone up this evening, but I’m still going back to the well as the 25-year-old is the unquestioned No. 1 option on offense. He will need to be aggressive early and often if the Celtics hope to make it two wins in a row and send the series back to Miami for Game 6. Playing in front of a raucous home crowd, I think Tatum delivers yet again. Give me Jayson Tatum OVER 30.5 points.
MIA Kyle Lowry OVER 5.5 Assists (+124)
Lowry is expected to draw the start for the injured Gabe Vincent, who has been ruled out due to a left ankle sprain. The veteran guard recorded six assists in Game 3 and is averaging 4.5 helpers across 25.4 minutes this postseason. Lowry tallied nine assists in Game 6 against the New York Knicks, the last time he saw 30-plus minutes. With Miami down three guards, I think the former Raptor sees a heavy workload, and I like Lowry to hit the OVER at plus money.
