Justin Turner had to leave the game early Friday for the Boston Red Sox, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.
“He felt it in the first inning,” Alex Cora said. “He swung at something and felt it in the knee. So we just took him (out) just to make sure he’s OK. Probably he’ll be down tomorrow and hopefully, he’ll be back on Sunday.” https://t.co/2dK1kVSEZg

Turner left the game in the top of the fifth. The Sox have not released any information about the severity of the injury. Boston was winning 6-1 at this time, so perhaps this was just a precautionary move, but in either case, Turner should be considered questionable at best to play Saturday. Turner was 0-1 with a walk before departing the contest. Triston Casas replaced him.
On Saturday, the Padres will host the Boston Red Sox. The Padres will start Joe Musgrove, while the Sox will counter with Chris Sale. The Red Sox are -205 (+1.5) on the run line and +108 on the moneyline, with an over/under of 7.5, over (-120), and under (-102).
