MLB World Series Odds Power Rankings: Braves, Dodgers Bet Down

Multiple MLB teams are off to great starts, with the Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers surging up the World Series odds rankings.

Below are FanDuel Sportsbook’s top ten favorites to win it all.

1. Atlanta Braves +500 (Last Week: +550)

With two wins in a row and a strong 7-3 record over their last ten, the Atlanta Braves have continued to boast the best odds of winning the World Series. Atlanta tops the National League at 24-11, leading to their World Series odds getting bet down from +550 to +500.

2. Houston Astros +650 (Last Week: +700)

Despite playing some lackluster baseball over the last week, where they’ve posted a 4-6 record, the Houston Astros are still on the rise. Houston has seen their World Series odds rise from +700 to +650, where they sit second.

3. (Tie) Tampa Bay Rays +700 (Last Week: +750)

The Tampa Bay Rays boast the best record in the big leagues at 28-7. There’s nothing to nitpick on Tampa Bay right now. The oddsmakers agree, as their number was bet down again from +750 to +700.

3. (Tie) Los Angeles Dodgers +700 (Last Week: +750)

It was a slow start to the regular season for the Los Angeles Dodgers, but they’ve slowly started to pick things up again and play with the game’s elite teams. LA has posted an 8-2 record over their last ten games, leading to their World Series odds rising from +750 to +700.

5. San Diego Padres +1100 (Last Week: +1100)

Even though the San Diego Padres dropped their weekend series with the Los Angeles Dodgers, things are still going relatively well in May for them. The Padres have continued to boast +1100 World Series odds.

6. Toronto Blue Jays +1200 (Last Week: +1300)

After a tough series with the Boston Red Sox last week, the Toronto Blue Jays bounced back over the weekend, sweeping the struggling Pittsburgh Pirates. The Blue Jays boast a 21-14 record, leading to their odds to win the Fall Classic getting bet down from +1300 to +1200.

7. New York Yankees +1300 (Last Week: +1000)

To say things aren’t going well for the New York Yankees would be an understatement. They’re one game over .500 and continue to occupy the basement of the AL East. As a result, they’ve seen their odds plummet from +1000 to +1300.

8. New York Mets +1500 (Last Week: +1300)

It’s been a puzzling start to the New York Mets in 2023, where they sit one game below .500 at 17-18. A 3-7 record over their last ten games highlights how bad times have been, in addition to their World Series odds falling off from +1300 to +1500.

9. (Tie) Philadelphia Phillies +2000 (Last week: Unranked in Top Ten)

It’s interesting to note that even though the Philadelphia Phillies have been struggling to this point in May, they’ve found themselves climbing back into the top ten World Series odds, where they now reside at +2000.

9. (Tie) Minnesota Twins +2000 (Last Week: +1800)

The Minnesota Twins have lost two straight games and sit at 5-5 over their last ten contests. In saying that, they also have the best record in the AL Central at 19-16. Even with their spot on top of the division, the Twins have seen their odds drop from +1800 to +2000.

9. (Tie) Milwaukee Brewers +2000 (Last Week: +1800)

Nothing has been going right for teams in the NL Central over the last week, which includes the Milwaukee Brewers. Still, they remain with the best World Series odds in the division, even after falling from +1800 to +2000.
