Devin Booker 8+ Assists & Phoenix to Win (+190)
The Phoenix Suns host the Minnesota Timberwolves who are on the second night of a back-to-back amidst their seven-game winning streak, but the books clearly think something is up as the Suns are 5.5-point favorites despite their 4-6 record. Devin Booker is expected to return tonight after only appearing in two games this season, but in those games, Booker cemented himself as a distributor with eight and 13 assist performances, averaging 16 potential assists per game. At +190, I like the price in what should be an incredible game, hopefully without any brawls.
Jayson Tatum 10+ Rebounds & Boston to Win (+200)
The Boston Celtics take on the East-leading Philadelphia 76ers tonight who are on the second night of a back-to-back and have no clear idea who will be playing. Not to mention, the Celtics lost to the Sixers last Wednesday so the C’s are looking for revenge as they are a four-point favorite. We’ll target Jayson Tatum to get work done on the glass as he’s had at least ten rebounds in five of ten games this season, but he had a season-high 15 rebounds against the Sixers last week. At +200, the value is definitely there.
NBA: Dereck Lively II 10+ Points & Dallas to Win (+190)Preseason-Detroit Pistons at Dallas Mavericks
I’m will continue to fade the Washington Wizards whenever I get the chance, so I expect the Dallas Mavericks to win outright tonight as a 5.5-point favorite on the road. I’ll target Dereck Lively II to make this into a player-performance double given the matchup against the Wizards backcourt that’s absolutely abysmal. The Wizards have allowed the most points per game to opposing centers in the league this season, so even though Lively has only had 10+ points in three of seven games, he could play 30+ minutes if he stays out of foul trouble. We’ll ride with the better team and best mismatch here.
RJ Barrett 20+ Points & New York to Win (+200)
RJ Barrett is questionable tonight in what’s essentially a pick’em game against the Atlanta Hawks, but if he plays, there is no reason to not expect him to play well. He’s averaged 22.6 points per game to start the year, scoring at least 20 in five of seven games. For Atlanta, they’re on the second night of a back-to-back after being in Detroit last night, so I’m not expecting a light outs performance from the Hawks by any means. Still, in my eyes, the Knicks won’t win if Barrett doesn’t score at least 20, so I’m viewing this bet like I’m getting the Knicks to win outright at +200. Not bad if I say so myself.
Evan Mobley Double Double & Cleveland to Win (+160)
Just as the Washington Wizards can’t defend big men, the Portland Trail Blazers aren’t too far behind. Looking across the Blazers' last five games, John Collins, Anthony Davis, Domantas Sabonis, and Jaren Jackson Jr. all had double-doubles, so why wouldn’t we ride the trend of dominant power forwards tonight with Evan Mobley who has had a double-double in six of ten games this season. The Cavs are massive favorites tonight, so in our eyes, this is the best value on the board to get plus money.
