Top 5 NBA Player Performance Doubles on Christmas Day

Kevin Durant 30+ Points/Phoenix to Win (+145)
The Phoenix Suns have lost eight of their past eleven games, but they're -6-point favorites on Christmas Day for a reason. Their premier talent is undeniable, so I expect them to put it all together for at least one game when all eyes are on them. I'll eye up a 30-point Kevin Durant outing because I'm confident he'll get me awfully close. He's only notched 30 in 13 of 24 games this season but scored at least 27 in 20 of 24 games. We'll get 27 from KD with near complete certainty, meaning we need one more bucket along the way. We'll rely on a little added Christmas magic to get that extra basket.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Double Double/Milwaukee to Win (+120) New York Knicks-Milwaukee Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks are already up 3-0 on the New York Knicks in their season series and the Knicks have managed to post a 1-7 record on Christmas Day since 2012. The Bucks are the all-around better team, so I’ll expect a W from them. I’ll also look for Giannis Antetokounmpo to have a double-double since he’s done that in 20 of 28 games this season. On Christmas Day, you know he’ll want to be as dominant as ever.
Aaron Gordon Double Double/Denver to Win (+700)
Hear me out before you think +700 is an outlandish play. Aaron Gordon may only be averaging 6.7 rebounds per game this season, but he’s had a double-double in four of his last six meetings against the Warriors. That makes getting +700 a must-bet in my book.
Jaylen Brown 25+ Points/Boston to Win (+190)
I expect the Celtics to find a way to take down the Lakers, as they seemingly always manage to get it done against LA. Boston is the better all-around team, so I’ll be looking for a big Jaylen Brown game to coincide with the W. Brown’s had at least 25 points in three of his last four games. Looking more broadly at his previous four against LA, he’s surpassed 25 points in each meeting and averaged 32.5 points. Jaylen’s owned this matchup, so at +190, there is more than enough value to be had.
Joel Embiid 35+ Points/Philadelphia to Win (+235)
Joel Embiid is on a legendary tear right now, as he’s had at least 30 points and 10 rebounds in 13 straight games. I’m not all that worried about the Heat’s defense, as Embiid just went for 51 points against the Timberwolves, the NBA’s best defensive team this season. Embiid is averaging 40.2 points per game in December, so given that I expect the Sixers to add another victory against the Heat, having Embiid score 35+ points at +235 odds is a Christmas gift begging to be unwrapped.
