Jalen Williams 20+ Points/Oklahoma City to Win (+145)
Jalen Williams is one of my most bet-on players in the league, and in December, he was phenomenal, eclipsing 20 points in eight of 12 games. The Thunder are on the road against the Spurs tonight, who stink, so I’ll take the +145 value I’m getting here and run with it.
Giannis Antetokounmpo 30+ Points/Bucks to Win (-120)
The Milwaukee Bucks have to put their best effort forward tonight, right? After Adrian Griffin was fired, look for Giannis Antetokounmpo to take charge and lead his team, as they should rally behind him. Against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Bucks should take care of business on their home floor, so I’ll combine their win with a 30-point outing from Giannis as he’s done in nine of his last 13 games, including a 34-point game against the Cavs. At -120, I don’t like laying the juice, so to maximize the value, we’ll make this a 1.5-unit play.
Rudy Gobert 15+ Points/Minnesota to Win (+130)
We were on Rudy Gobert to give us 15 points and a win the other night against a dreadful Hornets team incapable of defending big men. We were partially correct, as Karl-Anthony Towns went for 62 points. Gobert only had 13 points and was a perfect 6-6 from the field. He’ll face an even better matchup tonight against the Washington Wizards, who are even worse than the Hornets against opposing centers. With Towns not taking 35 shots and the Wolves’ making it a priority to get a win, considering Chris Finch’s postgame rant, I’m all over this play here at +130.
Jalen Duren 12+ Rebounds/Detroit to Win (+160)
Are the Detroit Pistons winning tonight? Who would’ve thought? But we’re going that route. They’ll host the Charlotte Hornets, who are on their high horse after going into Minnesota and pulling off the comeback victory as a 15-point underdog. This is a prime letdown spot for them, so I’ll look for the Pistons to earn their fifth win of the season. Jalen Duren had 17 rebounds when these two teams previously squared off. I hope to exploit this matchup after Gobert didn’t get it done for us on Monday. At +160, I love the price I’m getting.
Alperen Sengun Double Double/Houston to Win (+105)
Alperen Sengun might be the most underrated player in basketball, so we'll show him some love here. Despite the Rockets' 20-22 record, they have 16 wins at home this season. I'm confident they'll find a way to win tonight against a bad Portland Trail Blazers. Sengun has a double-double in six of his last nine games, but two of those misses were nine rebound outings. I'm not worried about his matchup against DeAndre Ayton. At +105, I expect him and the Rockets to get the job done.
