MLB Betting Guide for Sept. 25: Padres Coming For it All

Just days remain in the MLB regular season, and we have a full 15-game slate to explore today with plenty on the line. Let’s dive into it all.

In the National League, the Philadelphia Phillies will aim to bounce back against the Chicago Cubs as they continue to chase the NL’s top seed from the Los Angeles Dodgers, who are amidst a very tough series with the San Diego Padres, trying to cling on to the NL West crown. The Padres sit two games back of the NL West after posting a 41-16 record across their last 57 games. They are still priced at just +1000 to win the World Series, so get that number while you can because they are coming for everything. The Phillies and Dodgers should be doing everything possible to avoid the Padres at all costs, so maybe both teams should be tanking for the two-seed?

Additionally, in the NL, the New York Mets and Atlanta Braves are amidst a series to likely decide the NL wild-card picture, so we have an ultimate same-game parlay worked up for tonight’s action. Additionally, the Arizona Diamondbacks will look to hold on to their spot and bounce back after a crushing loss last night against the San Francisco Giants.

In the American League, the New York Yankees have just a 1.5-game hold over the Cleveland Guardians for the AL’s top seed, with five games remaining against the Baltimore Orioles and Pittsburgh Pirates. Down the standings, the surging Detroit Tigers and fading Kansas City Royals are fighting for seeding without much worry, as the Minnesota Twins are now two games back of the final wild-card spot.
