July 30: Reds Acquire Zack Littell; Rays Acquire Hunter Feduccia and Brian Van Belle; Dodgers Acquire Adam Serwinowski, Paul Gervase, and Ben Rortvedt
The Rays traded starter Zack Littell to the Reds for RHP Brian Van Belle and LHP prospect Adam Serwinowski. Tampa Bay then flipped Serwinowski, reliever Paul Gervase, and Triple-A catcher Ben Rortvedt to the Dodgers for catcher Hunter Feduccia.
Littell, 28, has been a steady rotation piece, posting a 3.58 ERA over 22 starts and 133.1 innings this season.
Van Belle, 28, owns a 3.40 ERA with 72 strikeouts and just 15 walks in 87.1 Triple-A innings. Serwinowski, formerly Cincinnati’s No. 10 prospect, joined LA along with Gervase, a rookie reliever with five MLB appearances, and Rortvedt, who had been DFA’d and sent to Triple-A Durham.
Feduccia, 28, has slashed .278/.387/.452 over four Triple-A seasons and adds left-handed depth behind the plate.
