5. Jaylon Tyson - Cleveland Cavaliers
One of the more surprising standouts at the Summer League, Tyson proved he could be a part of the Cavaliers' rotation immediately. He fell one rebound short of a triple-double against the Lakers in one outing where he posted 21 points on six-for-nine shooting, one of the best performances out of Las Vegas. Don't be surprised if Tyson immediately becomes one of the first players off the bench in Cleveland early this season.
1. Reed Sheppard - Houston Rockets
Sheppard has been as advertised and then some for the Rockets throughout the offseason. The third-overall pick looked right at home throughout the Summer League, averaging 20 points per game while shooting 50 percent from the field across four contests. He could even stuff the stat sheet with 4.8 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game, but the 2.8 steals make him a budding superstar. His intensity on both ends of the floor is unmatched, and the ceiling truly feels sky-high entering his rookie campaign.
2. Kel'El Ware - Miami Heat
There were plenty of questions about Ware's work ethic and intensity coming out of college, but those have been put to bed for now. He was an absolute workhorse for Miami on the interior across eight games in July, averaging 18.2 points and 8.4 rebounds while shooting 58 percent from the floor. If he can continue to show that high level of intensity and efficient scoring in the paint, he could immediately become a part of the team's rotation in his rookie season.
3. Bub Carrington - Washington Wizards
Drafted by a team that desperately needs a superstar in their backcourt, Carrington might be able to fill that void in Washington. The Pittsburgh product may have a chance to flirt with a handful of triple-doubles in this wide-open backcourt, and there is a runway here for him to be a dark horse candidate for Rookie of the Year. Our one pushback to all of the hype is the 32.9 percent shooting from the floor. That must improve to have a long-term future in the NBA.
4. Tristan da Silva - Orlando Magic
While da Silva only featured in three games during the Summer League, he certainly made the most of his time on the court as one of the most efficient scorers of the summer. The 6'8" forward shot 61 percent from the floor, knocked down ten-of-13 triples, and showed his polished scoring prowess in all three games. At 23 years old, he is one of the most NBA-ready scorers in this class and could be an immediate contributor for the Magic out of the gate.
