100. Jacolby Criswell - Committed to North Carolina Tar Heels
Jacolby Criswell is the most intriguing quarterback on the market after Day 1. The mobile quarterback transferred to Arkansas from North Carolina and played sparingly behind KJ Jefferson last season for the Razorbacks. Jefferson transferred to Central Florida, and the door opened for Criswell to finally get his shot. However, Arkansas brought in Taylen Green from Boise State, and Criswell saw himself relegated to backup status. Criswell is back at North Carolina and has two years of eligibility remaining.
North Carolina 2024 Win Total: 7.5
1. Kadyn Proctor - Committed to Alabama Crimson Tide
The best player available in this window, and one of the best transfers available in any portal window in recent memory, is offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor. The former five-star recruit started as a true freshman for the Alabama Crimson Tide, playing every game at left tackle and earning Freshman All-American honors. He was not dominant but was very good for a true freshman playing in the SEC. Plus, he helped Alabama reach the College Football Playoff. Proctor left Alabama after Nick Saban retired and transferred back to his hometown school, the Iowa Hawkeyes. Proctor never suited up for the Hawkeyes, and after going on a Spring Break trip with his former Crimson Tide teammates, he re-entered the portal and is headed back to Alabama for the 2024-2025 season.
Alabama 2024 Win Total: 9.5
2. Damien Martinez - Committed to Miami Hurricanes
This was unsurprising, but Oregon State running back Damien Martinez officially entered the transfer portal on Tuesday. He is the top running back available in the market and one of the best running backs in the country. Martinez is not particularly explosive but a robust and aggressive runner who thrives after contact. Oregon State had a solid offensive line, so he was set up for success. Still, Martinez averaged 6.1 yards per carry and racked up more than 2,000 yards over the past two seasons.
Miami 2024 Win Total: 9.5
3. Cormani McClain - Committed to Florida
The portal giveth, and the portal taketh away. Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders has relied heavily on the transfer portal to build his rosters in Boulder. Still, more than ten players are exiting Colorado in this cycle, another sign that things are not going quite as planned for Coach Prime. The most consequential player exiting Colorado is former five-star cornerback Cormani McClain. McClain was a spot-starter as a true freshman in 2023, but cornerbacks are highly coveted, and he has all the measurables teams want. He has good size, length, and speed and was highly desired. It is now up to head coach Billy Napier to get the most out of him.
Florida 2025 Win Total: 4.5
4. Tyler Baron - Committed to Miami
Tyler Baron has had quite the journey since the end of the 2023 season. After recording 28 tackles and six sacks as an edge rusher for the Volunteers, Baron entered the transfer portal and quickly committed to Ole Miss to play with former teammate Tamarion McDonald in Oxford. McDonald chose to flip his commitment to Louisville, and Baron followed suit, pledging to the Cardinals to play for Jeff Brohm. Baron is back in the transfer portal before ever playing a down for Ole Miss or Louisville. Pass rushers are in high demand, and the supply is limited, so Baron garnered significant interest before committing to Miami. The Hurricanes were as successful as any team in the spring window.
Miami 2024 Win Total: 9.5
5. Jaden Rashada - Committed to Georgia Bulldogs
Many see this as Arizona State losing their starting quarterback to the portal, but that does not appear to be the case. Jaden Rashada was cleanly beat out in the competition and the one-time Florida Gators commit is back on the market. He played 184 snaps last season for head coach Kenny Dillingham before redshirting with four touchdowns and three interceptions. There are now significant question marks about his readiness to lead an offense.
Rashada is wise to follow Dante Moore's path and transfer to a good system where he could develop and learn. The Georgia Bulldogs are a good spot, as he could learn behind Carson Beck.
Georgia 2024 Win Total: 10.5
6. Jason Zandamela - Committed to Florida
The highest-rated player in USC’s 2024 signing class has entered the transfer portal after only three months in Southern California. Jason Zandamela is a five-star interior offensive lineman who was expected to compete for a starting position at guard. He is 6’3” and more than 300 pounds, and the 247Sports scouting profile labeled him as a likely multi-year starter with high-end NFL upside. Zandamela grew up in Mozambique and played rugby before moving to the United States and starring at Clearwater Academy International in Florida. He was a five-star high school prospect and chose USC but will not play a game for the Trojans, as he's joined the Florida Gators.
Florida 2024 Win Total: 5.5
7. Jacoby Mathews - Texas A&M Aggies
The best safety to enter the market on Tuesday was expected Texas A&M starter Jacoby Mathews. Mathews started 12 games at Texas A&M for Jimbo Fisher and was expected to start at the position for Mike Elko in 2024. Mathews is a well-rounded safety who tackled well and was above average in coverage. He started all but three games for Texas A&M in 2023 and had 42 tackles with one interception and five passes defended last season. Players with Power Five starting experience are in high demand.
Texas A&M 2024 Win Total: 8.5
8. Dylan Edwards - Committed to Kansas State Wildcats
The second straight season of roster flipping in Boulder continues as former five-star running back Dylan Edwards left Colorado and quickly committed to the Kansas State Wildcats. Edwards is an electric back who can go for a big gain every time he touches the ball. He’s undersized and cannot be relied upon to handle 25+ carries in a game, but he is a valuable piece for an offense and should fit in very well in Manhattan. Kansas State will pair him with his former Pop Warner football teammate Avery Johnson and fellow running back DJ Giddens to form an exciting offense.
Kansas State 2024 Win Total: 9.5
9. Simeon Barrow - Committed to Miami (FL)
Another coveted interior defensive lineman is Michigan State’s Simeon Barrow Jr. He leaves new head coach Jonathan Smith after the spring session. Barrow Jr. was briefly in the portal after Mel Tucker was fired but stayed in East Lansing. He says that returning to MSU is not on the table this time. Barrow is 6’3” and nearly 300 pounds, and he has 110 career tackles and an Honorable Mention All-Big Ten honor as a junior. Barrow committed to Mario Cristobal and the Miami Hurricanes as they continue a push for an ACC title under Cam Ward.
Miami 2024 Win Total: 9.5
10. Samuel Brown - Committed to Miami Hurricanes
Samuel Brown is one of the better wide receivers on the market. After spending two seasons at West Virginia, Brown spent the past two at Houston. With the Cougars, the 6’2” target caught 103 passes for nearly 1,300 yards with seven touchdowns. Brown will not be a No. 1 target on a good team, but he can be a very good second or third option for the Miami Hurricanes.
Miami 2024 Win Total: 9.5
11. Derrick Harmon - Committed to Oregon
The spring transfer portal window has gutted the Michigan State Spartans defensive line. 6’5”, 320-pound defensive tackle Derrick Harmon entered the portal in December and visited Auburn, Oregon, and Ohio State before returning to Michigan State and going through spring football. After the spring, Harmon entered the portal again; this time, he’s committed to going elsewhere and landed with the Ducks. Harmon played three seasons for MSU and totaled 71 tackles with 6.5 tackles for loss. The Detroit native has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Oregon 2024 Win Total: 10.5
12. Damonic Williams - Committed to Oklahoma
Big defensive tackles are valuable, and several big-time programs are desperately searching for defensive line reinforcements. The best defensive lineman in the portal is former TCU Horned Frog Damonic Williams. He started all 27 games of his career for TCU and earned Freshman All-American honors in 2022 and then Honorable Mention All-Big 12 as a sophomore in 2023. Williams is visited Oklahoma for the Sooners’ Spring Game and enjoyed the visit enough to sign with OU.
Oklahoma 2024 Win Total: 7.5
13. King Mack - Committed to Kansas
One of the final spring portal entries was safety King Mack, the highest rated defensive player in Penn State’s 2023 recruiting class. The Florida native entered the portal at the deadline after playing in 13 games for the Nittany Lions as a freshman in 2023. He is a prototypical safety that should step into the rotation at Alabama immediately as the Crimson Tide push to contend in the SEC.
Alabama 2024 Win Total: 9.5
14. Jayden Wayne - Committed to Washington Huskies
Pass rusher Jayden Wayne spent two seasons in the Sunshine State, but the former four-star recruit is headed back to Washington to play for the Huskies. The Tacoma native nearly chose Washington out of high school but turned down then head coach Jimmy Lake to play for Miami. He appeared in eight games for the Hurricanes and started the bowl game against Rutgers. Wayne will line up for new defensive coordinator Stephen Belichick in Seattle.
Washington 2024 Win Total: 7.5
15. KeAndre Lambert-Smith - Committed to Auburn Tigers
Wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith has one-year remaining eligibility and has chosen to spend that somewhere besides State College. Lambert-Smith was the leading receiver for Penn State in 2023, catching 53 balls for 673 yards with four touchdowns. It would be fair to say that PSU was always looking for a little more from Lambert-Smith. The same could be said for all of PSU’s receivers, so maybe the issue was with the offense and not Lambert-Smith. Auburn needed a veteran wide receiver and hope he can find another level.
Auburn 2024 Win Total: 7.5
16. Jaxon Howard - Committed to Minnesota
After one season at LSU, edge rusher Jaxon Howard entered the transfer portal and quickly landed with the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Howard is a Minneapolis native and heads to PJ Fleck’s program after recording two tackles in five games during a redshirt season in Baton Rouge. He was the first of LSU’s spring departures to commit to a new school.
Minnesota 2024 Win Total: 4.5
17. Bai Jobe - Committed to Kansas Jayhawks
The Michigan State Spartans have had a rough spring as the roster turnover under new head coach Jonathan Smith continues. MSU’s highest-rated 2023 signee, defensive end Bai Jobe, became the 14th Spartan to enter the portal during the spring window. The 6’3” former four-star prospect has much potential, but he redshirted the 2023 season. Jobe has four seasons of eligibility remaining, and if the Jayhawks can get the most out of his potential, he will have quite a player.
Kansas 2024 Win Total: 8.5
18. Nyjalik Kelly - Committed to UCF Golden Knights
The top-rated edge rusher in the portal is former Miami Hurricanes player Nyjalik Kelly. Kelly was a highly-touted prospect heading into the season but played in only four games in 2023 and just 131 defensive snaps before a season-ending injury. In those snaps, Pro Football Focus had Kelly with six quarterback pressures. His physical traits and measurables are much more intriguing than his actual production, and Miami does not appear upset that Kelly is looking for another school. Still, if UCF can unlock his potential, they will have acquired a fierce pass rusher.
UCF 2024 Win Total: 7.5
19. Terrance Brooks - Committed to Illinois
Texas has lost some decent players to the transfer portal, but the most important hit the roster took was defensive back Terrance Brooks leaving Austin after starting at corner for the Longhorns in 2023. In his two seasons with Texas, Brooks appeared in 23 games and started 19. He was an All-Big 12 honorable mention for his performance last season and he is a big get for Illinois. The Fighting Illini have lost a lot of talent to the NFL on defense over the past few seasons and Brooks will likely start immediately in the secondary.
Illinois 2024 Win Total: 5.5
20. Peyton Woodyard - Committed to Oregon
Alabama has a lot of uncertainty in the secondary heading into the 2024 season, and things got a bit shakier as two more players entered the portal. One is Peyton Woodyard, a four-star safety prospect in the 2024 class. He went through spring practice with the Crimson Tide before entering the transfer portal with a “do not contact” designation. Alabama did land Kameron Howard, a safety transfer from Charlotte, but losing another depth piece is not a positive for new head coach Kalen DeBoer. Yet another blue chip talent the Ducks have added through the portal.
Oregon 2024 Win Total: 10.5
21. Elijhah Badger - Committed to Florida Gators
Arizona State’s leading receiver is one of the top offensive weapons in the portal. Elijhah Badger led the Sun Devils with 135 receptions for nearly 1,600 yards over the past two seasons. He is a vertical threat with three rushing touchdowns for the Sun Devils. Several top teams need a wide receiver that can play right away, and Badger drew interest from Michigan, Texas A&M, and Alabama before landing with the Florida Gators. He'll try to develop a quick connection with Graham Mertz.
Florida 2024 Win Total: 4.5
22. Branson Hickman - Committed to Oklahoma
SMU is hemorrhaging as they head to the ACC, with two mainstays from the offensive line entering the portal. Center Branson Hickman is probably the best interior offensive lineman in the portal. According to Pro Football Focus, he started for three seasons and was graded as the nation’s fourth-best center last season. The Oklahoma Sooners have been searching high and low for offensive line help, and he committed to the Sooners on his visit.
Oklahoma 2024 Win Total: 7.5
23. Tyler Williams - Committed to Minnesota
Four-star wide receiver Tyler Williams entered the transfer portal after one season at the University of Georgia. He visited Minnesota and quickly committed to the Golden Gophers, giving them a big 6’4” target who will likely play immediately. Williams redshirted last season with the Bulldogs, but Minnesota does not have time for him to gain experience as they need additional help for wideout Daniel Jackson and an unproven quarterback situation.
Minnesota 2024 Win Total: 4.5
24. Andrew DePaepe - Committed to Indiana
The Michigan State defensive line has been hit harder than perhaps any other position group on any team during the spring transfer portal. Former top 150 recruit Andrew DePaepe joined the exodus, entering the transfer portal to look for a new home for his remaining four seasons of eligibility. The Iowa native went through spring practice with the Spartans but did not participate in the “Spring Showcase” game after redshirting the 2023 season. He committed to Indiana as a preferred walk-on, joining his brother who will be an incoming freshman for the Indiana Hoosiers.
Michigan State 2024 Win Total: 5.5
25. Peny Boone - Committed to UCF Golden Knights
Peny Boone was one of the best running backs at the Group of Five level last season, dominating MAC play for the Toledo Rockets. He transferred to Louisville after the 2023 season and spent spring practice with Jeff Brohm’s squad. The former MAC Offensive Player of the Year did not like what he saw and entered the portal again. Boone is now headed South and will play for Gus Malzahn and the UCF Golden Knights.
UCF 2024 Win Total: 7.5
26. Rashad Amos - Committed to Colorado Buffaloes
The Colorado Buffaloes continued to add to their backfield by bringing in Miami of Ohio running back Rashad Amos. The junior has two years of eligibility remaining, averaging 5.12 yards per carry with 13 touchdowns during the 2023 season. Miami had a successful campaign under head coach Chuck Martin. Amos is not particularly explosive but is powerful and does an excellent job of keeping the offense “on schedule” in down and distance. The Buffaloes need to find balance, and having a successful running game is one way to help keep Shedeur Sanders off his back.
Colorado 2024 Win Total: 5.5
27. Dayon Hayes - Committed to Colorado Buffaloes
Dayon Hayes entered the transfer portal and said he was looking for a school that could win immediately, something the Pitt Panthers could not offer. He will be playing his final season of collegiate football and had 10.5 tackles for loss last season as a member of Pat Narduzzi’s defense. He’s 6’3”, nearly 270 pounds, and routinely lines up on the edge. Hayes quickly lined up visits to Colorado and USC but committed to the Buffaloes before leaving Boulder.
Colorado 2024 Win Total: 5.5
28. Rayyan Buell - Committed to Colorado Buffaloes
Perhaps no position will be more coveted in the spring transfer window than defensive line. Nearly every team seems to be in the market for another big-bodied defensive lineman who can at least provide quality snaps and make a positive impact. Perhaps the best defensive line prospect to enter on Tuesday was Rayyan Buell from Ohio University. Buell was a JUCO transfer to Athens and played in 12 games for the Bobcats last season, accumulating 12.5 tackles for loss with 4.5 sacks as a defensive tackle. That kind of disruption from the middle of the defensive line will grab the attention of high-major programs and he joined Dayon Hayes in committing to Color. Buell was a third-team All-MAC selection in 2023.
Colorado 2024 Win Total: 5.5
29. Elijah Herring - Committed to Memphis
Linebackers are not typically in high demand in the transfer portal, but proven production is available with former Tennessee Volunteer Elijah Herring. During the final ten games of the season, Herring was the team’s leading tackler after taking over due to an injury to starter Keenan Pili. With both players returning, there was expected to be a rotation, but Herring wants to be the exclusive starter and will search for a new team to give him that. Herring is not dynamic in coverage, but he’s a sure tackler who has proven it at the highest level. He will be staying in-state and has committed to play at Memphis.
30. Tony Mitchell - Committed to East Mississippi Community College
Standing at 6’2”, defensive back Tony Mitchell has three years of eligibility after leaving head coach Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Crimson Tide. Mitchell is part of a secondary exodus that has left the Tide short at cornerback and safety heading into the 2024 season. The former four-star recruit contributed on special teams as a freshman after being a top 120 national recruit as a safety. His initial finalists included Georgia and Texas A&M. Still, his football career got off to a rocky start after an arrest in March of 2023 for speeding more than 140 miles per hour and traveling with marijuana and a loaded gun. He has not been in trouble since and was searching for a fresh start. Teams were apparently reticent to provide that chance as Mitchell has committed to JUCO power East Mississippi Community College. He plans on spending a season there and signing with a new team in December.
Alabama 2024 Win Total: 9.5
31. Dermaricus Davis - Committed to UCLA Bruins
Quarterback Dermaricus Davis became the third former Washington Huskies quarterback to transfer from UW to UCLA in the past five years when he committed to the UCLA Bruins. The four-star freshman signed up to play for Kalen DeBoer and chose to give new head coach Jedd Fisch and his staff a chance during his first spring practice period, but he entered the transfer portal after the spring and joined UCLA. The 6’5” Davis is from California, and he joined former transfers Colson Yankoff and Ethan Garbers, who went from Seattle to Westwood.
UCLA 2024 Win Total: 5.5
32. Isaiah Hamilton - Committed to Oregon
Isaiah Hamilton originally entered the transfer portal in December 2023 but stayed with the Houston Cougars and new head coach Willie Fritz. After going through spring with the Cougars, Hamilton has re-entered the portal for his final season of eligibility. In 12 appearances for the Cougars last season, Hamilton had 50 tackles and four interceptions. Hamilton does not have an ideal size, but he has excellent ball skills and has proven he can start in a major conference. Another welcomed addition to Oregon's defense this spring.
Oregon 2024 Win Total: 10.5
33. JaQues Evans - Committed to Baylor Bears
Linebacker JaQues Evans accumulated 182 total tackles and 12 sacks throughout four seasons at Western Kentucky University. Evans has the nickname “Donut” and was an All-Conference USA player in 2022 before being limited to six games in 2023 due to injury. Linebacker is not a high-demand position, but Evans has a large window of proven production and should help Baylor as they look to make noise in the wide open Big 12.
Baylor 2024 Win Total: 5.5
34. Zakhari Franklin - Committed to Illinois Fighting Illini
After one year in Oxford as a member of the Ole Miss Rebels, former UTSA wide receiver Zakhari Franklin has re-entered the transfer portal for his final season of eligibility. Franklin was a two-time All-Conference USA first-team player at UTSA, but after a season in which he started injured, he caught just four passes in his one season at Ole Miss and was buried on the depth chart in a loaded receiver room. The 6’0” receiver is a speedy weapon has latched on with the Illinois Fighting Illini. Illinois offensive coordinator Barry Lunney Jr. was Franklin's offensive coordinator for two seasons at UTSA and Illinois pursued him last offseason before he committed to Ole Miss. Franklin will pair with Pat Bryant to form a veteran duo that Illinois hopes can make up for the departure of Casey Washington and Isaiah Williams.
Illinois 2024 Win Total: 5.5
35. Jacory Croskey-Merritt - Committed to Arizona
The Ole Miss Rebels spent the spring transfer window continuing to amass offensive talent and loading up for a run at a College Football Playoff bid. They added running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt from New Mexico, a talented and explosive back who they hope can provide a change of pace in their backfield. Croskey-Merritt averaged an impressive 6.30 yards per carry and gained 1,190 yards with 17 touchdowns in 2023. Things fell through in Oxford and Croskey-Merritt turned back to his original commitment in Tucson and he'll be playing for new head coach Brent Brennan and the Arizona Wildcats.
Arizona 2024 Win Total: 7.5
36. CJ West - Committed to Indiana Hoosiers
CJ West is a 315-pound versatile defensive lineman who started for three seasons at Kent State. He had 110 tackles during his career and played his best ball last season, earning third-team All-MAC honors and being named PFF’s best defensive tackle in the MAC a season ago. Shortly after entering the portal, West had offers from several Power 5 schools and chose Indiana where he'll help anchor a rebuilt defensive line.
Indiana 2024 Win Total: 5.5
37. Bryce Foster - Committed to Kansas
Former starting center Bryce Foster entered the transfer portal after inconsistency with the Texas A&M Aggies and injuries that prevented him from being available. New head coach Mike Elko brought in a new center from Utah, and Foster was mostly absent from spring practices, leading many to believe that Texas A&M had asked him to seek a scholarship elsewhere. Foster is an experienced player who could be valuable if he could stay healthy. Foster visited USC and Kansas and chose to sign with the Jayhawks. He should plug in right away for a talented Kansas offense.
Kansas 2024 Win Total: 8.5
38. Henry Parrish Jr. - Committed to Ole Miss
The Ole Miss Rebels needed a running back and have turned to a familiar face, former Ole Miss and Miami player Henry Parrish Jr. Parrish left Ole Miss after the 2021 season when running backs coach Kevin Smith left for Miami. Smith is back in Oxford, and Parrish Jr. is following his position coach back to Ole Miss for his final season of college football. Parrish committed to the Rebels in 2020 and spent two seasons sharing carries with other running backs. He joins Ulysses Bentley IV and fellow portal additions Logan Diggs and Jacory Croskey-Merritt in a crowded backfield as the Rebels load up for a run at the College Football Playoff.
Ole Miss 2024 Win Total: 9.5
39. Solomon DeShields - Committed to Texas A&M Aggies
The Texas A&M Aggies have had one of the larger roster turnovers in the country as new head coach Mike Elko took over and flipped both sides of the ball with a particular focus on defense. Former Pitt Panthers linebacker Solomon DeShields joined the Aggies with a commitment shortly after entering the transfer portal. He has two years remaining and brings 85 tackles with six sacks in his time with Pitt. DeShields played his best ball last season, with 58 tackles for the Panthers.
Texas A&M 2024 Win Total: 8.5
40. Philip Blidi - Committed to Auburn Tigers
The Auburn Tigers were among many programs searching high and low for defensive tackle depth. They got their guy in veteran tackle Philip Blidi, a transfer from Indiana University. Blidi played one season for IU after transferring from Texas Tech and has one year of eligibility remaining. As an interior defensive lineman for the Hoosiers, Blidi had 30 tackles and 11 quarterback hurries. Blidi has experience and size and is capable of providing snaps without being a liability, which makes him a valuable commitment in the spring transfer window.
Auburn Tigers 2024 Win Total: 7.5
41. Dallan Hayden - Committed to Colorado
The Colorado Buffaloes have continued to churn the roster as head coach Deion Sanders tries to make the most of what is expected to be the final season in college for quarterback Shedeur Sanders. The Buffaloes needed a running back and desperately needed to find more balance for the offense to help take the load off of Sanders. They landed former Ohio State Buckeyes back Dallan Hayden as the featured piece of the rushing attack. Hayden was well down the depth chart after the addition of Quinshon Judkins and the return of TreVeyon Henderson. Hayden was productive when given a shot. Now, we’ll find out how he does in a less talented offense with a more significant role.
Colorado 2024 Win Total: 5.5
42. Corey Dyches - Committed to California Golden Bears
Tight end Corey Dyches was one of the few notable players in the tight end position who entered the transfer portal during the spring window. Despite the scarcity, his market was not off the charts, and the former Maryland Terrapins player had reportedly committed to Charlotte. However, Dyches changed his mind and officially committed to the California Golden Bears. The 6’2” Dyches had 491 receiving yards in 2023, and he was named to the All-Big Ten Third Team after last season. Dyches has one season of eligibility remaining, and he should be a nice piece for Cal as they head to the ACC.
Cal Golden Bears 2024 Win Total: 6.5
43. Ceyair Wright - USC Trojans
A top 80 recruit in the Class of 2021, Ceyair Wright, has entered the transfer portal. Wright was a former starter at defensive back for the USC Trojans. He began the 2023 season as a starting corner but left the program during the season, and Lincoln Riley said he was “away from the program for a personal matter.” His departure does not come as a surprise. He was not with the Trojans during the spring and was not listed on the roster. He’s 6’1” and has one season of eligibility remaining.
USC 2024 Win Total: 7.5
44. Jayvion Cole - Committed to Texas Longhorns
The Texas Longhorns were on the hunt for a starting-caliber defensive back that could immediately come in and help replace departures in that unit as the team gears up for a run at an SEC title. Former San Jose State corner Jay’Vion Cole chose the Longhorns over Michigan State, Auburn, and Cincinnati after an official visit to Austin. Cole has two seasons of eligibility remaining, and he earned honorable mention in the All-Mountain West during the 2023 season with the Spartans. He brings experience to a very young secondary.
Texas 2024 Win Total: 10.5
45. J'Mond Tapp - Committed to Arizona State Sun Devils
Former Texas Longhorns edge rusher J’Mond Tapp is drawing significant interest after entering the transfer portal. Tapp played 98 snaps as a redshirt freshman for the Longhorns and recorded eight tackles as Texas made the College Football Playoff. He is 6’3” and more than 265 pounds, providing the type of size/athleticism Arizona State has lacked.
ASU 2024 Win Total: 4.5
46. Andrew Chamblee - Committed to SMU Mustangs
Offensive tackles capable of starting games at the Power Five level are a significant commodity in the spring transfer window, and former Arkansas tackle Andrew Chamblee is a coveted target. He visited with SMU, UCLA, and Kansas State and the Colorado Buffaloes before committing to the Mustangs. Chamblee started eight games as a redshirt freshman in 2023 and earned a selection on the All-SEC Freshman Team. The 6’6” tackle played 405 snaps and was expected to compete for a starting spot with the Razorbacks before transferring.
47. Marcus Bryant - Committed to Missouri Tigers
Much like players on the defensive line, competent offensive linemen are a rarity in the portal window, and a tackle with quality starting experience quickly vaults to the top ten on this list. SMU’s Marcus Bryant is 6’8," nearly 320 pounds, and started 30 games as a tackle for the Mustangs. Bryant earned First Team All-AAC honors last season as SMU won the league. The Mustangs hoped to have him back as an anchor for the line as they moved to the ACC. Instead he will be spending his final season of eligibility at Missouri where the expectations are high.
Missouri 2024 Win Total: 9.5
48. Edward Woods - Committed to Michigan State
The Michigan State Spartans lost a lot of talented players on defense during the spring transfer window, but they gained one with the addition of former Arizona State cornerback Ed Woods. Woods started 12 games for the Sun Devils and appeared in 32 games at ASU. He finished the 2023 season with 33 tackles, one interception and four passes defended. It was an essential win for new head coach Jonathan Smith as the Spartans beat out Alabama for Woods’s commitment.
Michigan State 2024 Win Total: 4.5
49. Ryan Yaites -Committed to Cal Golden Bears
The Cal Golden Bears have added some quality pieces in the transfer portal window as they gear up for their first season in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Safety Ryan Yaites left LSU after one season in Baton Rouge, where he had 16 tackles in 13 games of action. Yaites is a 6’1” safety with good length, and he was rated as a four-star prospect as a high schooler in Texas. Yaites is expected to be a good depth piece for head coach Justin Wilcox in 2024 and could move into a starting role in 2025 as current seniors move on.
Cal Golden Bears 2024 Win Total: 6.5
50. Adin Huntington - Committed to Tulane
Adin Huntington was one of the top defensive tackles in the Sun Belt in 2023 and is a late entry to the spring portal. LSU is a heavy favorite to land the former Warhawks player, but he has not committed yet. Huntington is only 280 pounds, but he had a terrific 2023 season and reportedly squats 665 pounds plus a 38-inch vertical. He had 16 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks in 2023 after transferring from Kent State. Huntington is staying Louisiana after committing to the Tulane Green Wave.
51. Justus Ross-Simmons - Committed to Syracuse
Justus Ross-Simmons has entered the transfer portal and is one of the more sought-after wide receivers in the transfer portal after 724 receiving yards in 2023. He was the second option for the Colorado State Rams and earned honorable mention All-Mountain West honors last season. Ross-Simmons has two seasons of eligibility remaining and he is a great addition for the Syracuse Orange.
Syracuse 2024 Win Total: 5.5
52. Keedrick Rescano - Committed to Arizona
The Ole Miss Rebels added multiple running backs through the transfer portal and have loaded up for a run at the 2024 College Football Playoff. They have the roster, the schedule, and the resources for this to be the year for Lane Kiffin and the Rebels to break through and challenge for something meaningful in the SEC. Those are all good things, but the crowded backfield has caused one young running back to enter the transfer portal. Kedrick Reescano has bolted Oxford after playing sparingly as a freshman in 2023. He was a four-star prospect who was expected to have a role as a second or third back before Ole Miss brought in multiple players at his position via the transfer portal. The migration of running backs from Ole Miss to Arizona continued as Reescano committed to the Wildcats and will hope to crack a talented U of A attack.
Arizona 2024 Win Total: 7.5
53. Paul Fitzgerald - Committed to Utah
The Utah Utes added an edge rusher from in-state rival Utah State when Paul Fitzgerald committed to play for Kyle Whittingham. The 6’3” defensive end redshirted the 2022 season before taking off for eight sacks plus 46 tackles last year. The talented defensive lineman has three seasons of eligibility remaining and helps give Utah additional depth as they hope to win the Big 12.
Utah 2024 Win Total: 9.5
54. Johnny Bowens III - Oregon Ducks
Former four-star defensive tackle Johnny Bowens III has entered the transfer portal, leaving the Oregon Ducks in search of more playing time. The 6’4” and 295-pound Bowens was ranked as the 206th-best recruit in the 2023 class and the number 23 defensive lineman before committing to Oregon. He appeared in one game last season for the Ducks and recorded a pair of tackles. Originally from Converse, Texas, Bowen is expected to return to his home state, and a visit to Austin to see the Texas Longhorns would not be a surprise.
Oregon Ducks 2024 Win Total: 10.5
55. Kyion Graves - Committed to Cal Golden Bears
Another former four-star high school recruit, wide receiver Kyion Graves, has left Ohio State University for the Cal Golden Bears. Graves was buried on the depth chart after two seasons in Columbus, and he should have an opportunity to at least get on the field in Berkeley. Graves made a catch in 2022 and then was sidelined for the entirety of the 2023 season with a foot injury. The former Buckeye is a redshirt sophomore with three seasons of eligibility remaining.
Cal Golden Bears 2024 Win Total: 6.5
56. Jordan Washington - Committed to Washington
Jordan Washington has committed to play for Washington. Beyond being a slightly ironic turn of events due to the coincidence of the name, Washington is following his former coach at Arizona from Tuscon to Seattle as the running back heads to the Big Ten to play for Jedd Fisch. The speedy tailback was committed to Fisch at Arizona as a member of the 2024 recruiting class and ran a 10.3 100 meters as a high-schooler in California. That was good enough to finish second in the state track meet. He was a four-star recruit with the speed to immediately step into the lineup for Washington as a gadget-type player who could grow into a more featured back with added strength.
57. Mikal Harrison-Pilot - Committed to Texas Tech Red Raiders
Mikal Harrison-Pilot was a highly recruited member of the 2023 class who redshirted last season for the Houston Cougars. He appeared in four games during the 2023 season and played in only 14 snaps. Despite that, he is an intriguing player because he was a top 160 recruit just one class ago. He had offers from several major programs before staying in Texas and playing in Houston. Harrison-Pilot visited Texas Tech, and the Red Raiders were considered favorites to land the transfer. After a short recruitment, Harrison-Pilot made it official and is a Red Raider.
Texas Tech 2024 Win Total: 7.5
58. Andrew Dennis - Committed to Michigan State
Jonathan Smith has had a rough start to his coaching tenure in East Lansing as the head coach of the Michigan State Spartans, as the spring portal window has not been kind. MSU’s defensive line was gutted, and they spent the past couple of weeks attempting to pick up the pieces before the 2024 season. They secured a solid offensive line addition as Andrew “D.J.” Dennis re-committed to Michigan State after being at Illinois briefly. The former four-star recruit in the 2023 class was committed to MSU before Mel Tucker was fired, and he then switched his commitment to Illinois. Dennis has transferred to Michigan State and could factor into the offensive line rotation as early as this season.
Michigan State 2024 Win Total: 4.5
59. Wesley Walker - Committed to Michigan Wolverines
Safety Rod Moore was injured this spring and the Michigan Wolverines quickly knew they needed to dive in to the portal to grab additional depth. They found an answer with former Tennessee Volunteers safety Wesley Walker. Walker began his collegiate career at Georgia Tech in 2019 and then transferred to Knoxville in 2022. He spent the spring at Louisville before bolting to head back into the portal before this coming season. Walker will likely not start but he’s a good addition ta rebuilt Michigan defense.
Michigan 2024 Win Total: 9.5
60. Micah Bell - Committed to Vanderbilt Commodores
Defensive back Micah Bell did not play much for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in his one season in South Bend. He made three appearances and only tallied one tackle. He entered the transfer portal and committed to Vanderbilt. The Commodores have an unsettled quarterback situation and are in desperate need of help on the offensive side of the ball. There are reports that Bell is being brought in to play wide receiver, not defensive back, in an effort to provide some juice to the Vandy offense.
Vanderbilt 2024 Win Total: 2.5
61. Jasiah Wagoner - Committed to Cal Golden Bears
Former four-star cornerback Jasiah Wagoner has committed to California after transferring from Oklahoma. Wagoner is a promising prospect but missed most of the 2023 season, his freshman campaign, due to injuries. Wagoner appeared in the final games of the campaign for the Sooners, burning one year of his eligibility, so he has three remaining for the Golden Bears and head coach Justin Wilcox. Cal has landed some nice pieces as they bulk up their NIL program to compete in the ACC.
California 2024 Win Total: 6.5
62. Jaden Mangham - Committed to Michigan Wolverines
Michigan continued to add depth to the secondary with safety Jaden Mangham committing to the Wolverines to help offset the loss of Rod Moore (injured this spring). Mangham comes from a very unlikely place: hated rival Michigan State. Mangham is a 6’2” and 185-pound safety coming off an All-Big Ten honorable mention season in 2023. He had 53 tackles and a team-leading four interceptions and his departure was another blow to a Michigan State team that has had a rough spring portal window. Mangham has two years of eligibility remaining.
Michigan 2024 Win Total: 9.5
63. Terrell Allen - Committed to Tulane
Big South-Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year and 2023 Buck Buchanan Award (top FCS Defensive Player) Terrell Allen entered the transfer portal right before the window slammed shut at the beginning of May. Allen played for head coach Eddie George at Tennessee State and led the FCS with 14.5 sacks and 28 tackles for loss. He added five forced fumbles and ten quarterback hurries. He is only 6’0” and 275 pounds, but the production is notable, and draft analysts list him as a potential NFL Draft candidate for the 2025 NFL Draft. He joins the Tulane Green Wave as they try and claim the American Athletic Conference and the G5 playoff spot.
64. Jared Harrison-Hunte - Committed to SMU Mustangs
Jared Harrison-Hunte started 22 games for the Miami Hurricanes, including 11 games during the 2023 season. He entered the transfer portal and committed to the SMU Mustangs at the end of April. SMU lost some key pieces early in the transfer portal process but rebounded nicely with several good commitments. Harrison-Hunte is a defensive lineman who should be able to play on the interior and slide outside in certain formations and situations for the Mustangs. He had 78 tackles, including 20.5 tackles for loss, during his career with Miami.
SMU Mustangs 2024 Win Total: 7.5
65. Sam McCall - Texas A&M Aggies
Cornerback Sam McCall spent one season at Texas A&M after transferring to the program before the 2023 campaign. McCall appeared in only three games last season after injuries depleted the Aggies’ secondary and forced him into action. He had six tackles and struggled to find footing against talented wide receivers like LSU’s Brian Thomas. There is no crime in that, and with experience, the 6’1” corner could still develop into a good player at the power conference level.
Texas A&M 2024 Win Total: 8.5
66. Khurtiss Perry - Committed to Virginia Tech Hokies
Khurtiss Perry is a former four-star defensive tackle who spent two seasons at Alabama after choosing the Crimson Tide over Auburn in high school. He was stuck at the bottom of a loaded depth chart in Tuscaloosa but was expected to be a reserve defensive lineman for new head coach Kalen DeBoer this coming season. Perry showed versatility in playing inside or outside on the defensive line in high school, which is expected to continue in college. He took visits to Indiana and Virginia Tech before settling on the Hokies.
Virginia Tech 2024 Win Total: 7.5
67. Nigel Glover - Ohio State Buckeyes
Former four-star recruit Nigel Glover began his career at Northwestern before transferring to Ohio State before the 2023 season. Glover spent last year in Columbus, and following spring practice with the Buckeyes, he entered the transfer portal and is looking for a third school. Glover saw no game action with Ohio State in 2023, and he was behind at least four other linebackers on the depth chart for a solid Buckeyes defense heading into the 2024 season. The 6’3” linebacker is still looking for a landing spot.
Ohio State 2024 Win Total: 10.5
68. Raymond Cottrell Jr. - Kentucky Wildcats
Raymond Cottrell was a four-star prospect in the class of 2023. He was nearly a top 30 receiver in the class and committed to the Texas A&M Aggies. The Florida native appeared in three games and had one catch, a 13-yard touchdown reception. Cottrell Jr. bolted from College Station after the coaching change for the Aggies and committed to Kentucky. He spent spring ball with the Wildcats and has entered the portal again, never playing a game in Lexington. The 6’3” wideout heard from several schools before committing to Kentucky but cannot commit to another SEC school due to its ban on players going from one SEC school to another during the spring window.
2024 Kentucky Win Total: 6.5
69. Zechariah Owens - Committed to Colorado Buffaloes
Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes nearly exclusively build their roster through the transfer portal and the spring window was another opportunity to add and lose a large number of players. They have spent a lot of time working on the offensive line and got another addition in former Clemson Tigers lineman Zechariah “Flapjack” Owens. He appeared in only 13 snaps for Clemson and has four years of eligibility remaining.
Colorado 2024 Win Total: 5.5
70. Bill Norton - Committed to Texas Longhorns
The Texas Longhorns desperately needed to bolster the interior of the defensive line and they partially addressed that problem with the addition of Bill Norton from Arizona. Norton reunites with former Arizona defensive coordinator Johnny Nansen and former teammate Tiaoalii Savea. Norton is 6’6” and more than 320 pounds. He has one season of eligibility left and had 32 tackles last season in Tucson for Arizona. Before spending one season with Arizona, Norton played four seasons in a limited role at Georgia.
Texas 2024 Win Total: 10.5
71. D'Angelo Ponds - Committed to Indiana Hoosiers
D'Angelo Ponds was an unheralded recruit out of high school but head coach Curt Cignetti liked what he saw and brought him in at James Madison. Ponds, originally from Florida, immediately flashed and was named a Freshman All-American while totaling 52 tackles, 12 passes deflected, and two interceptions. While a bit undersized, Ponds earned offers from Auburn, Miami, USC, Tennessee, and others when he entered the portal in April. Still, he quickly elected to follow his former head coach to Bloomington, joining a host of his former JMU teammates at Indiana. Ponds has three seasons of eligibility left and is expected to be in the rotation for IU immediately.
IU 2024 Win Total: 5.5
72. Amir Herring - Committed to Kansas Jayhawks
Amir Herring is an interior offensive lineman who has transferred from Michigan to Kansas. The former four-star recruit was a member of Michigan's 2023 recruiting class, and he entered the portal after spring practice in Ann Arbor. He played high school football at West Bloomfield High School in Michigan before committing to the Wolverines and did not see any action for UM before leaving via the transfer portal. Herring joins Lance Leipold at Kansas as the Jayhawks try to make a run at the Big 12 Championship.
Kansas 2024 Win Total: 8.5
73. Vandrevius Jacobs - Committed to South Carolina Gamecocks
Young wide receiver Vandrevius Jacobs has transferred from Florida State to South Carolina. In his one season in Tallahassee, Jacobs caught three passes for 60 yards with one touchdown. He appeared in five games for the Seminoles and entered the transfer portal after spring practice. Jacobs is 6’0” and 175 pounds and was known as a quick and dynamic playmaker in high school as a recruit. He only played in four regular-season games, so he still has all four years of eligibility remaining. Jacobs will try to help an offense looking for firepower to complement quarterback LaNorris Sellers.
South Carolina 2024 Win Total: 5.5
74. Ja'Had Carter - Committed to NC State Wolfpack
The North Carolina State Wolfpack added former Ohio State safety Ja’Had Carter in the transfer portal, bolstering their secondary as they push for an ACC title. Carter was one of three defensive portal players to commit to North Carolina State in mid-May. Carter was highly coveted when he transferred from Syracuse to Ohio State before the 2023 season, but the shine wore off a bit as he played in only 124 snaps for the Buckeyes and recorded just five tackles. He earned an honorable mention in All-ACC honors when he was with Syracuse and hopes a move back to the ACC will earn him more regular playing time.
NC State 2024 Win Total: 8.5
75. Davon Booth - Committed to Mississippi State
The Mississippi State Bulldogs are under new leadership, as first-year head coach Jeff Lebby now heads the program in Starkville. The Bulldogs got a commitment from Rashad Amos in April, but he flipped to Colorado before ever suiting up for State, and MSU was back in the market. They landed former Utah State Aggies running back Davon Booth to fill the void. Booth is originally from Cerritos College and then spent one season at Utah State, gaining 805 yards on 120 carries. He scored six rushing touchdowns and is expected to be a part of the Mississippi State running back rotation in 2024.
Mississippi State 2024 Win Total: 4.5
76. Tre'Quon Fegans - Committed to UCF Knights
The Central Florida Knights were one of the winners of the spring portal window as they added an offensive weapon in Peny Boone and loaded up on defense. One of the critical defensive additions was former four-star cornerback Tre’Quon Fegans from USC. Fegans will be in his third school in as many seasons after spending one year each at Alabama and USC. He appeared in six games as a redshirt freshman in 2023 at Southern California and is expected to be in the rotation at corner for UCF.
UCF 2024 Win Total: 7.5
77. Joseph Griffin - Committed to Wisconsin
The Wisconsin Badgers added transfer wide receiver Joseph Griffin to bolster the depth of their receiver room. Griffin had an offer from Wisconsin as a high school prospect and spent two seasons at Boston College before joining the Badgers. He had 25 receptions for 345 yards with one touchdown during the 2023 season. Wisconsin has star Will Pauling and complementary players C.J. Williams and Bryson Green, with Griffin likely filling a role as a slot wideout. The Badgers hope to rebound from a rocky first season under Luke Fickell as they transition to a more spread attack.
Wisconsin 2024 Win Total: 6.5
78. Damien Alford - Committed to Utah
The first spring portal commitment for the Utah Utes was former Syracuse wideout Damien Alford. Alford is a towering presence at 6’6” and had led the Orange with 33 catches for 610 yards plus three touchdowns during his redshirt junior season in 2023. Those numbers are impressive, considering how disastrous the quarterback play was for Syracuse. Alford was a coveted portal prospect who quickly picked Utah, committing back in the middle of April, and he bolsters a room that should benefit significantly from the return of quarterback Cam Rising. Utah is the favorite to win the very competitive Big 12.
Utah 2024 Win Total: 9.5
79. Jeremiah Beasley - Committed to Missouri
The Michigan Wolverines secured the commitment of four-star linebacker Jeremiah Beasley, who enrolled in Ann Arbor in December 2023. The 6’2” and 235-pound linebacker never suited up for the Wolverines and entered the transfer portal after spring football. The Missouri Tigers were involved in his high school recruitment and quickly secured his transfer commitment. He has all four years of eligibility remaining and joins a solid incoming recruiting class for head coach Eliah Drinkwitz. Missouri is trying to repeat a historic 2023 campaign that saw them reach and win the Cotton Bowl.
Missouri 2024 Win Total: 9.5
80. Semaj Bridgeman - Committed to Michigan State
Players transferring from one in-state rival school is not something that happens often. Still, the Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State Spartans effectively executed a trade as safety Jaden Mangham transferred to Michigan. Redshirt freshman linebacker Semaj Bridgeman traded in his Maize and Blue for Michigan State’s green and white. Bridgeman is a 6’2”, 246-pound linebacker who did not play as a true freshman for Michigan in 2023. He was a four-star recruit from Philadelphia who has a chance to immediately factor into MSU’s rotation at linebacker under new head coach Jonathan Smith.
Michigan State 2024 Win Total: 4.5
81. Isaiah Augustave - Committed to Colorado Buffaloes
The Colorado Buffaloes continued to bolster their offense in the spring transfer portal as they added former Arkansas running back Isaiah Augustave. Augustave has three seasons remaining after appearing in 11 games, with one start in 2023. The Florida native had 35 carries for 202 yards with one touchdown. He’s 6’2” and more than 200 pounds and should form an excellent combination with Ohio State transfer Dallan Hayden. The Buffaloes lead the way in transfer activity, and Deion Sanders is tasked with turning them into a cohesive team.
Colorado 2024 Win Total: 5.5
82. Cedrick Hawkins - Committed to UCF Knights
Cedrick Hawkins was the first, but definitely not the last, of the spring portal additions for the UCF Knights under head coach Gus Malzahn. Hawkins was a four-star safety recruit from Florida who committed to Ohio State and spent the 2023 season in Columbus. Hawkins did not record any game stats in 2023 and redshirted the campaign. With Ohio State loaded at safety, it was unlikely Hawkins would crack the rotation, so he entered the transfer portal after spring ball and opted to return home to Florida. He is a versatile safety who can play multiple positions in the secondary, and he could play early for a rebuilt Knights’ secondary.
UCF 2024 Win Total: 7.5
83. Colton Thomasson - Committed to Baylor Bears
Former four-star recruit Colton Thomasson committed to the Baylor Bears in early May. Thomasson chose Baylor after visits to Waco along with SMU and UTSA. Thomasson began his collegiate career with Texas A&M and cited his longstanding relationship with Baylor head coach Dave Aranda and his staff as a reason for choosing the Bears. He is 6’8” and over 320 pounds, prototypical for a big tackle. He was the third offensive lineman to join the program via the transfer portal.
Baylor 2024 Win Total: 5.5
84. Karmello English - Michigan Wolverines
After spending his freshman season in Ann Arbor, wide receiver Karmello English entered the transfer portal in April. He had previously announced his intentions to transfer in March and followed through on that promise. English played in six games in 2023 and caught a four-yard touchdown pass against Indiana during his lone season of action. He was a four-star recruit who chose Michigan over Alabama, Kentucky, and Auburn. He is a 5’10” slot wideout. His departure added to the depth issues at wide receiver for Michigan entering the 2024 season.
Michigan 2024 Win Total: 9.5
85. Payton Kirkland - Committed to Colorado Buffaloes
Former Texas Longhorns offensive lineman and three-star prospect Payton Kirkland committed to the Colorado Buffaloes, continuing the roster reset in Boulder. Kirkland is 6’6” and weighs 350 pounds. He was named to the All-Metro Orlando Team in 2022 before going to Texas and redshirted the 2023 season without appearing in any games. Colorado has added more than 25 players in the transfer portal and has lost more than 35.
Colorado 2024 Win Total: 5.5
86. Justin Harrington - Committed to Washington
Veteran defensive back Justin Harrington committed to the Washington Huskies after transferring from Oklahoma. The former Sooner played in 19 games with two starts in Norman after transferring there from a junior college. Harrington is a big-bodied safety at 6’3” and 219 pounds. He had 29 tackles in his 19 games before tearing his ACL in Oklahoma’s week two matchup against SMU. Washington’s secondary took a beating when Kalen DeBoer left for Alabama. Still, they have added some good pieces under Jedd Fisch, and Harrington is expected to slide in behind Kamren Fabiculanan.
Washington 2024 Win Total: 7.5
87. Adam Hopkins - Colorado Buffaloes
It was seen as a big deal in 2023 when Deion Sanders flipped four-star recruit Adam Hopkins from Auburn to Colorado. The 6’0” wide receiver from Thomasville, Georgia, was part of the 2023 Under Armour All-America Game and was a statement recruit for Sanders early in the experiment in Boulder. After one season with Colorado, primarily spent on special teams and as a reserve defensive back, Hopkins has joined the herd, migrating from Colorado and leaving the program ahead of the 2024 season. Hopkins has four seasons of eligibility remaining.
Colorado 2024 Win Total: 5.5
88. Greedy Vance - Committed to USC Trojans
Head coach Lincoln Riley has made a very public pronouncement that the culture of his program needs to change. He has taken steps to begin adding defensive ability and focus to USC. One of the players that he hopes will make a positive difference on that side of the ball is defensive back Greedy Vance. The veteran corner transferred from Florida State for his final season of eligibility after totaling 71 tackles and 12 passes deflected in college. He started five games for Florida State in 2023 and is expected to compete for a starting role at cornerback for USC this coming fall.
USC 2024 Win Total: 7.5
89. Eli Stowers - Committed to Vanderbilt
Vanderbilt head coach Clark Lea knows that a lot of change is needed if he wants to find any success in the SEC. He brought in New Mexico State quarterback Diego Pavia and now adds another former Aggies quarterback, Eli Stowers. Stowers is an exciting player, beginning the 2023 season as a quarterback before switching to wide receiver and tight end. He is only 6’4” and 215 pounds, slight numbers for a tight end in the SEC. Still, he has proven to be a productive and versatile piece who should be a solid addition to the Commodores. Stowers is expected to contribute at tight end and wideout after catching 35 passes for 366 yards, two touchdowns, and an additional 108 rushing yards.
Vanderbilt 2024 Win Total: 2.5
90. Kristopher Ross - Texas Longhorns
A four-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class, Kristopher Ross left the Texas program in October 2023 and entered the transfer portal in December. He appeared in one game as a true freshman and then in three games during the 2023 season, notching one tackle against Rice. Ross is 6’2” and 263 pounds and would be considered a defensive end in most defensive schemes. He has yet to commit to a new program.
Texas 2024 Win Total: 10.5
91. Khalil Jacobs - Committed to Missouri Tigers
The Missouri Tigers added more depth to their linebacker corps, securing a commitment from former South Alabama linebacker Khalil Jacobs. Jacobs is 6’2” and 218 pounds, a little bit undersized for an SEC linebacker, so he would be slotted in at the weakside position and figures to be used primarily as a pass rusher on the edge. He was not sent to rush the quarterback often but managed a 6.3% sack rate when he did. According to Missouri’s SBNation site, that would have been good enough for the fourth-best rate on the team in 2023. He has multiple years of eligibility remaining and adds some veteran experience to a very young (and talented) Missouri defense.
Missouri 2024 Win Total: 9.5
92. Myles Slusher - Colorado Buffaloes
Myles Slusher has entered the transfer portal and will play at his third school in as many seasons. The former Colorado Buffaloes safety transferred to play for Deion Sanders before the 2023 season after a stop at Arkansas. He battled injuries with Colorado and was limited to only four games, but he still managed to get 17 tackles and four pass break-ups during that limited time. He is a 6’1” safety with two years of eligibility remaining, and he was expected to be a key member of the Colorado secondary.
Colorado 2024 Win Total: 5.5
93. Aamir Hall - Committed to Michigan Wolverines
The Michigan Wolverines lost multiple vital members of their defense, including secondary members Josh Wallace, Mike Sainristil, and DJ Waller. They needed to add veteran depth to the position and turned to the FCS to bring in Aamir Hall from Albany. Hall was an FCS All-American in 2023 with 57 tackles and five interceptions. He spent three seasons at Richmond before transferring to Albany for the 2023 season, and he has one season of eligibility remaining. Hall will play cornerback and should slot into the rotation behind star Will Johnson.
Michigan 2024 Win Total: 9.5
94. J.D. Rhym - Committed to Houston
Defensive back J.D. Rhym has transferred from Auburn to Houston. Rhym was a four-star prospect in the class of 2022 recruiting class and was ranked just outside of the top 150 players nationally as a high school player. He played as both a corner and a safety in high school and lined up at cornerback for the Tigers during practices. He failed to make an impact during his limited time on the Plains, but he still has multiple years of eligibility remaining and offers a high upside for head coach Willie Fritz and the Houston Cougars.
Houston 2024 Win Total: 4.5
95. Keyron Crawford - Committed to Auburn
The Auburn Tigers have worked hard in the transfer portal to address a significant depth issue on the defensive line. They began with Philip Blidi from Indiana and Isaiah Raikes and then finished by adding Arkansas State edge player Keyron Crawford. Crawford is 6’4” and played the 2023 season at 243 pounds. He started all 13 games for the Red Wolves last season and had 45 tackles. That total included 6.5 sacks, the eighth-best mark in the Sun Belt. Crawford joins an Auburn defense led by coordinator DJ Durkin as the Tigers look to build with a very talented incoming freshman class.
Auburn 2024 Win Total: 7.5
96. Kekoura Tarnue - Committed to West Virginia
Kekoura Tarnue chose the West Virginia Mountaineers over offers from Washington State, James Madison, and others. The former Jacksonville State defensive back is 6’1” and nearly 200 pounds, and he chose WVU after an official visit. Tarnue played for Rich Rodriguez for one season and appeared in all 12 games with eight starts. He had 48 tackles, four pass breakups, plus one blocked punt for a touchdown for the Gamecocks. Tarnue is not expected to start for the Mountaineers, but he adds depth and special team ability for a team looking to compete in what is expected to be a wild new Big 12 Conference.
West Virginia 2024 Win Total: 6.5
97. TreVonte' Citizen - Committed to McNeese State
One of the top running backs in the class of 2022 has found a new school. Tre'Vonte Citizen will be playing at McNeese State after spending a few frustrating seasons at Miami. The Louisiana native is headed back to his home state after being injured for both seasons in Coral Gables and never getting a carry for the Hurricanes. Citizens initially chose Miami over offers from LSU, Florida, Auburn, and others. Citizen should be able to significantly impact the Southland Conference for the McNeese State Cowboys if he can get healthy.
98. Grant Bingham - Kentucky Wildcats
After two seasons with the Kentucky Wildcats, former four-star offensive lineman Grant Bingham is in the transfer portal. Bingham was a member of the 2022 signing class for UK after starring at Johnson Central High School in Paintsville, Kentucky. The 6’5” big man redshirted the 2022 season and was injured for most of the 2023 campaign. He did not see any action for the Wildcats and has at least three years of eligibility for his next destination. Bingham has not chosen a new school as of mid-June.
Kentucky 2024 Win Total: 6.5
99. Anthony Dunn Jr. - Committed to Toledo
The Florida A&M Rattlers won the HBCU national title in 2023, but the transfer portal has gutted them. Anthony Dunn Jr. was an All-SWAC performer for the Rattlers as a talented edge rusher who had 46 tackles plus eight sacks as a sophomore in 2023. He entered the transfer portal and landed with the Toledo Rockets. Head coach Jason Candle hopes to continue Toledo’s reign in the MAC despite losing quite a bit of talent following the 2023 campaign.
