The Cleveland Browns have two of the first four picks in Friday night’s second round. The Browns have a dreadful quarterback situation with only Kenny Pickett and Joe Flacco as the healthy options. They were linked with Shedeur Sanders before the draft, but Mason Graham was chosen as the fifth pick after trading down with Jacksonville. Cleveland is “on the clock” and will have all day to decide whether or not they want to draft Sanders.

2. Las Vegas Raiders
If the answer is not the Cleveland Browns, the Las Vegas Raiders could be a destination. Las Vegas traded for Geno Smith, and he’ll be the starter this season. Still, he’s 34 years old and is not the answer for the future. The Raiders drafted Ashton Jeanty and could pair him with a young quarterback with the fifth pick in the second round. Shedeur Sanders would likely thrive in the market, and Las Vegas will have the first chance to draft him if the Cleveland Browns pass on him for the second and third time. He could sit behind Smith for a year or two, get acclimated to the league, or be plugged in midseason if Smith struggles.
3. New Orleans Saints
New head coach Kellen Moore and the New Orleans Saints have a giant question mark at quarterback. Derek Carr’s shoulder is a concern, and it could keep him sidelined for at least a portion (if not the entirety) of the 2025 season. Even if he can play, what is he going to provide? Carr was not good enough to push for an NFC South title when he was healthy, and he’s not getting any younger. The Saints drafted left tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. at No. 9 and picked eighth in the second round.
4. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers were linked with Shedeur Sanders and were seen as a realistic landing spot in the first round of the NFL Draft. The presumptive starter at this time is Mason Rudolph. Mike Tomlin always puts a competitive team on the field, but going into hoping to consistently beat guys like Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow in the AFC North with Rudolph is asking for a miracle to occur. The problem? Pittsburgh only has one pick on the second day of the NFL Draft, and that happens in round No. 3.
