10. David Njoku - Cleveland Browns (ADP: 92.0)
David Njoku has developed into a monster for the Cleveland Browns. At a whopping 6'4" and 250 lbs., he has above-average speed for his size and could flirt with his first 1,000-yard season. His one drawback is being within a poor offense with Deshaun Watson under center. If Jameis Winston were to get the reigns at quarterback, it would elevate Njoku's ceiling for the remainder of the year.
1. Travis Kelce - Kansas City Chiefs (ADP: 28.9)
From Week 9 onward last season, Travis Kelce finished as TE13 in PPR formats, signaling that the 34-year-old may have lost a step and wasn’t performing at his usual elite level during the second half of the season. Although he stepped up in the playoffs, the larger sample size from the regular season raises some concerns. Given his current ADP of 23.5 on ESPN, often going at the 2/3 turn, we're comfortable passing on Kelce and instead focusing on the next wave of top-tier talent like Sam LaPorta (TE2), Trey McBride (TE4), or Dalton Kincaid (TE6).
2. Sam LaPorta - Detroit Lions (ADP: 34.6)
Sam LaPorta is the future at the tight end position in the NFL, and he feels like a better selection than Kelce. Add in that he's going half a round later, and this is a home run selection for your team. After hauling in double-digit touchdowns and finishing as TE1 in his rookie campaign, there is no telling what the ceiling outcome could be for LaPorta in 2024. Within such a high-powered offense and facing little competition on the depth chart, he's a great pick here.
3. Mark Andrews - Baltimore Ravens (ADP: 45.5)
Mark Andrews has been an elite commodity in fantasy football since his breakout season in 2021, and he should be an integral part of the Ravens offense again in 2024. With a lack of receiver options after Zay Flowers, it's been common for Baltimore to rely on Andrews in the passing game as a primary threat for Lamar Jackson to lean on. Isaiah Likely may eat into his workload a bit as a talented backup on the team, but Andrews still provides a great option at tight end in the back of the fourth round.
4. Trey McBride - Arizona Cardinals (ADP: 54.5)
After Zach Ertz was sidelined by a quad injury midway through last season, it became the Trey McBride show in Arizona for the remainder of the season. The second-round pick more than lived up to his draft capital and is now one of the premier tight ends in the game. For our money, this is our best value at the position and our pick to finish as TE1 on the season. The Cardinals will find themselves in plenty of shootouts this season, and he is a focal point of the passing offense.
5. George Kittle - San Francisco 49ers (ADP: 55.3)
A model of consistency at tight end for the past handful of years, George Kittle is a safe bet to finish in the top five, which he has done in his previous five fully healthy seasons. There are plenty of mouths to feed in the San Francisco offense, but his spike weeks and overall chemistry with Brock Purdy make him a great selection and someone with perhaps the highest floor at the position.
6. Evan Engram - Jacksonville Jaguars (ADP: 60.9)
He isn't a superstar or household name, but Evan Engram sees some serious volume and target share with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Trevor Lawrence has embraced him as a safety blanket within the offense, and it has paid dividends in fantasy, most recently last season when he sneakily finished as TE2. If Engram can find a few more touchdowns in 2024, he has some serious potential to finish in the top three again this season.
7. Dalton Kincaid - Buffalo Bills (ADP: 69.3)
Dalton Kincaid steamed in the second half of the season as he continued to learn the playbook and build chemistry with Josh Allen. Within a team that has shown affinity to utilize the tight end position, it's easy to expect a breakout season in his sophomore campaign. Dawson Knox should not be ignored and could slightly eat into the production, but this offense should be successful enough for Kincaid to see plenty of opportunities.
8. Kyle Pitts - Atlanta Falcons (ADP: 76.1)
The Kyle Pitts experiment has been a long and windy road, and 2024 feels like the last stand for his believers. With Kirk Cousins in the mix to help bolster the offense, it's a golden opportunity for him to finally live up to the potential he has been billed for since being drafted. His speed, size, and route-running ability make him exactly what you want as a fantasy tight end.
9. Jake Ferguson - Dallas Cowboys (ADP: 95.4)
Jake Ferguson had a strong rookie year that was largely overlooked by an elite rookie tight end class and stands alone at the top of the depth chart on the Cowboys roster. He's part of a high-powered offense with some question marks behind its top receiver, CeeDee Lamb. Ferguson could be in line for a healthy target share and plenty of touchdowns in 2024.
