Ravens vs Steelers Best Bet ATS: Steelers +6.5 (-115)

It’s hardly a secret that the Baltimore Ravens have been the superior team to the Pittsburgh Steelers lately. Why has that not been reflected in the matchups they’ve faced off in? That’s the answer many people will be searching for as they break down this bitter rivalry. The Steelers have shockingly won eight of their last nine games against the Ravens. That has to mean something here. Mike Tomlin has had John Harbaugh’s number, and the Ravens have been susceptible this year in the one area where the Steelers are finding the most success: Russell Wilson’s moonball. The Ravens saw it firsthand during the last meeting, but it’s a challenging play to stop, even without Pittsburgh’s top receiver in the lineup. That aside, the sportsbooks are giving a lot of points to the Steelers in a matchup that they’ve not only kept close but outright won consistently in. I have difficulty not taking the points with previous trends. Even if the signs point toward a big win for Baltimore, Pittsburgh notoriously finds a way to keep these games close.

Ravens vs Steelers Best Bet Total: UNDER 44.5 (-110)

This will be a tightly contested, lower-scoring affair if anything we’ve seen over the last five years tells us anything. You get a physical, well-coached football game when you have two teams with plenty of hate for one another, like the Steelers and Ravens. The Steelers can win the AFC North, while the Ravens are fighting to stay alive in the division race. The Steelers’ offense looked improved for a large stretch of games, but it’s coming off a puzzling showing against Philadelphia with Wilson leading the charge. Yes, the Ravens have had one of the league’s most explosive offenses this season. Still, eight straight games between these AFC North rivals have gone under the current total. As much as we can appreciate what these offenses are doing, these pass rushes and defensive lines mean business. There are some vulnerabilities in the Ravens’ secondary, but I don’t envision them generating enough mistakes that it leads to a high-scoring clash. Look for another low-scoring affair between these bitter rivals.
