With the 1994 scoring title on the line, David Robinson did in LA what was usually only reserved for Hollywood scripts.

The Admiral put up a number more than double his season-scoring average in his last game of the campaign. His 71-point performance in a convincing win over the Clippers shot up his season clip to 29.8 PPG, enough to edge out Shaquille O'Neal's 29.3 PPG after Shaq scored 32 earlier that evening.

The Robinson career-high and Spurs franchise mark stands to this day and was the first 70-point game in nearly 20 years at the time.

Elgin Baylor started the group in November 1960 when he hung 71 on the New York Knicks. After Baylor, no man accomplished the feat outside of Wilt Chamberlain for nearly 20 years. The Stilt hit 70 or more six times, including four such performances in 1962.

David Thompson took the torch in 1978 when he put up 73 in a Denver Nuggets losing effort to the Detroit Pistons.

Spida put up 71 points on 22 of 34 shooting while going 20 of 25 from the line. He did need overtime to push the Cavs to the 145-134 victory and break his own franchise single-game scoring record.

The former Louisville standout set the mark with his 58th point of the game after securing his own intentionally missed free throw and then nailing a spectacular triple to force overtime. Mitchell's 13 points in the extra frame moved him from the team record book to the league's with the eighth-highest single-game total in NBA history.

Dbook Hits the Record Book vs. Celtics on Mar. 24/17
Six years before Donovan Mitchell carved up the Bulls, a young Devin Booker was making his mark against the Boston Celtics. In just his second year in the league and first as a full-time starter, Booker used the charity stripe to his advantage to reach 70 on the nose.

He went to the line more than anyone else on our list, hitting 24 of 26 free throws. Booker also did something no one on our list or the 70-point club ever did: join it at 20 years old. On that 2017 night in Boston, the Suns lost, but Dbook became the youngest player to score 60 earlier in the game and then 70 with less than a minute remaining.
